BUG: craft ammo disappears?

Crafted a bunch of among to fight one of the big deviants. Picked it all up but it doesn't show anywhere. This was SMG and LMG ammo. is this typical?

if your crafting copper or higher bullets you need to modify the gun to use the better bullets

I just had the same issue. Go to Weapon customization> Accessory> then click on Ammo. On the right it will show you the ammo types available, click on the ones you created. I hope that helps.

thanks yah i figured it out afterwards as well. This is a pretty freaking weird game mechanic.

Unlock the last ammo. Tungsten. It's in the little Memetic Menu that we use to learn new skills and what not. You might have seen it there at the bottom.

When i started playing i used memetics to learn things. It was great.

There's no Legendary Ammo yet. The highest grade is Epic which is Tungsten AP Ammo.
