There ARE some PC configurations that this game does not work well with, leading to 100% cpu or gpu usage and overheating. Things have gotten better since beta, but I'm sure they're still working to fix a lot of things.
That would be where I would start looking. Could also be a corrupted install, your SSD, RAM, Power Supply, or really several other things, but I'd start with watching those temps and resource usage.
That said, I've played about 70 hours between beta and release and had zero issues, so its not a problem everyone is having... so if it does need to be fixed on their end you might be in for a bit of a wait. Sucks I know... just trying to be honest with you.
Same for the 1st,2nd beta no problem .This morning full UE5 crash pc overheating .play 13h to 19h ,no crash or temp problem . And now like this morning . Full freeze and pc crash . I change parameter but nothing to do .I dont understand .
Yup that's what they are saying. If it was just one random freeze at an infrequent rate without the need to hard restart, sure I could see it being a problem with the game.
When people start saying they are having numerous freezes per day which result in having to hard restart, that's a PC problem. Could be something with settings on the PC, settings in the game which the PC can't handle, could be PC software related, could be PC hardware related. It could even be a bad connection of hardware also. When a PC has more than one GPU, one of those being integrated, seen several cases where the integrated GPU was default as the dedicated GPU instead of the the other one which would be more superior.
I've seen many of these claims across many games where the players say "I know it's my PC... blah blah ". In many cases it's not choosing the proper settings or there is faulty hardware. Another common factor is the amount of stuff running in the background which can contribute to the PC working harder than it needs to. I've also seen plenty say I meet the min specs, I rarely trust what the min and recommended specs on Steam are, best way to judge is by actually playing to see if your PC can handle the game or not.
So many times when a player talks about performance, then you ask for their specs, usually once those are provided, the problem becomes clearer.
edit: i have a intel i9 12900kf and a rtx 3090
