Performance fixed by using the official launcher and not steam

I had some performance issues, read on reddit about using the launcher from the official website. I tested this and the game runs a hell of a lot better now.

I don't think you can transfer them between things, unfortunately. I don't know how it works in this game but in most games your "steam" version is just another type of account, so in some games like FFXIV you can play by logging in with your details, but in other games you may not have any "details" because its basically auto logged in (because you're the only one who would launch your own game). As far as I can tell though there's not necessarily a way to login/out like that. There very well could be I haven't looked deeply into it, to be fair.

I think you may have to just start over if you want to try this method, but at the very least, you could always just try it out on a new character through their launcher and then if it really does improve your gameplay drastically, starting over is probably a small step especially if you do it sooner rather than later (since we're only a few days in so far, each day passing will be more and more "catch up" , and who knows maybe it will go by way faster because you can enjoy the game more without all the performance issues.

nah didnt work for me, at first it seemed to work, but now I'm stuttering again like hell. The game is not optimized, I'll wait for official patch because this is unplayable.

this also didnt work for me, its just stutter mess, turn mouse freeze frame and drop 90 frames during the motion, its insane.
