I found capping at 60FPS and removing motion blur kept my CPU at around 60-70% utilization.
I'm using a Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3 as cooler with Thermal Grisley Kryonaut paste.
Temps don't exceed 80c on CPU and GPU was 79c
Case is Corsair 3000D
Now if I unlock the framerate the story is the other way around, Temps near 88c on CPU and GPU also throttles at 83c
I'm noticing frame time spikes constantly as new areas are loaded in and out while traveling the area of the beach and the overlook town.
The moment I stop moving around and just stand still, everything drops, utilization and temps also. I'm thinking this game isn't well optimized yet.
That is to be expected. Need higher FPS? you need more CPU power to drive that GPU.
Also no point on having more FPS than your monitor refresh rate. You're just wasting power.
I've been trying to preach this for the past few days.
This game has hitching even on a 4080 / 4090 setup if you leave it unlimited on the fps.
Once you cap it even with a 4080/4090 you will see that your problems will 99% resolve.
No joke watch some videos of people playing this game with a 4080 super with a 13th gen i7 uncapped, sure it will peak up to 200 but it will also drop all the way down to 120's to 130's during heavy combat. It's going to happen if you max the game out at 1440p native on a 4080 super.
Once you cap it to 120 its smooth as butter no more issues.
Here is my amd setup, but it runs perfect @ 120 cap.
