Unable to place in specific spot!
I have moved my territory and I have 1 spot where nothing will place I had a foundation there before and I removed it to see if it would fix itself now, the foundation is having the same issue, it is even affecting the spot above on the second floor where nothing will place in that 1 spot, I even tried putting walls there to close it off but even they won't place! the message it gives is 'Unable to place' but it is in my territory and nothing is obstructing it, it's just in that 1 spot and I have tried rotating and moving my base slightly too. if anyone has a fixed or has had the same issue please help.

send or post a screenshot of the exact location... otherwise it's kinda impossible to figure it out for them i think.

Same thing is happening to me. I tried to delete a wooden foundation to put a stone foundation and it isn’t letting me. So I tried to go back to wood but even that isn’t working. It doesn’t say anything just doesn’t hover where it should.

Were any foundation blocks placed then "sunk" below the vegetation/dirt line individually from the main structure so they aren't visible? It maybe possible that one of your earlier blueprints recorded it in a previous build, was saved, and is now hindering/colluding the rebuilding of your current/latest structure blueprint from setting down your territory spot...

...maybe try finding another spot that is barren and flat as possible & see if you can build your most updated blueprint* then copy it again and delete all previous blueprints then go back to the spot you were trying to build on and see if you can build.

*raise it up once or twice and see if that possibly hidden block exposes itself

I had a similar problem an in some spots still do. I found that i couldn't put flooring down In three spots on any of the levels 1,2,3 of my structure in a L shape. I found i could fill the spots by placing stairs leading to the edge of the empty space then giving the option to place down flooring then deleting the stairs. Hope this helps out

Man....... this took me WAAY too long to figure out!!!
I just thought the square was glitched out somehow, or might somehow be taken up by an invisible object... well, that's kind of accurate! lol
Turns out I had to move my property to a new location, use ALT+ wheel to raise up the property before placing, then in build mode, go to the problem spot and look down at it.
The option to "[R] Demolish" was miraculously there, and I immediately and joyfully deleted what was blocking it!! Problem solved.
I sincerely hope this helps someone else in this issue, as it was driving my OCD nuts!! lol
