So about Nightmare Prime War...
This event really made me re-think weather or not I wanted to play season 2 at all.

Up until Nightmare Manibus, I had really been enjoying the game and the bugs for me were actually relatively minimal. Mostly growing pains for a game that got more popular than it expected in a short amount of time.

And then I tried running a week of Nightmare Prime War. A full week of attempts and strategy and cleaning areas and controlling builds and the server working together as best they could to get everyone mobilized and equipped with all our best weapons and turrets.

We tried to 20 man it, we tried removing all fortifications except Staroid protection. We tried halting fire builds, we tried using only 4 turrets, we tried basically everything we could find from every other server trying to farm the event.

Our last attempt lagged so badly we were trapped on our turrets for a solid 20 minutes, because the mobs themselves were sliding through walls and unable to path properly to do damage to the staroid restrainer.

What. Happened. To. This. Event.

Why did every other prime war run basically fine except this one?

Why was it so different that it screwed over absolutely every server?

I am baffled.

Yeah after hearing all the mess that was NW PW i just didn't bother doing it, did the pro and everything below but couldn't bother with NW. The fact that red plasma was needed already put me off, hell the lag on PW overall is horrible.
So up until then i wont even bother

Agree. All these "workarounds" and "tips" to reduce lag which have caused endless arguments and could easily be solved temporarily by the devs by making a few minor changes, are getting old really fast. Why they can't just disable teleporting into PW once the event is started or disable the use of Deviants in the PW arenas or molotovs if fire damage IS actually one of the issues, I don't understand. They designed an event which is extremely server intensive with multiple bosses/mobs all spawning at the same time and yet 9/10 it turns into a slideshow/getting stuck in reloading/unable to exit turrets etc. As far as I know the devs have remained silent on these issues to this day, that have been present since the Beta versions of the game? All the time and effort it takes to farm resources/build defenses/make missiles etc. wasted by poorly designed and implemented event that doesn't respect your time one bit. /rant :steamfacepalm:
