the cultists treasure map glitch

I went to the place where the map shows, I opened the occultist's chest but the quest didn't count and the map is still in my inventory and I can't complete the quest

Kind of the same for me; I found the chest and opened it. The quest disappeared(but did not say complete/give reward) and the treasure map is still in my inventory. Can't discard.
