Most stone building pieces have more health than wood pieces, similar to how most concrete has more health than stone pieces. The exceptions are the rounded pieces such as the rounded half walls and floors, which only have 1000 hp regardless of what material they're made out of.

The difference can be pretty significant if enemies are having trouble pathing to things, such as your purifier, and are attacking your structures instead.
