500$ to get sets out of the loot crate is ridic
its about 500$ CDN to get all of the content out of the loot box.
and besides the set items you can get theres really only about 6 to 8 other rewards you can actually earn. i watched a streamer open it (500$ worth) and 80% of what he opened was duplicates.

you should of made it less expensive to aquire said items, or at least added more rewards to the crate besides a few others

what's everyone elses thought on the cost of the crate? and the amount needed to spend to get set items

i am not, obviously. im just saying its ridiculously over priced, if they had priced it better they would sell more units, instead of overpricing it and only selling a few

The f2p business model is for the most part dependant on whales to keep the lights on so they need things in the shop to keep the whales happy.

Yeah there's some reddit posts of others getting a lot of duplicates of stickers with those crates. I'm curious if it's a bug or as intended.

Overall, I think it's implementation is egregious considering the other MTX options the game has.

Consumers should display their displeasure with this scummy business practice..they could easily charge $20-30 for these cosmetics and it'd be awesome but the gambling ♥♥♥♥, it needs to go.

I bought a few items off the shop but then I realized the standard trend of the items costing more and more. The average cosmetic set in their store is $15-20, the more expensive around $30 (based on their in-game currency).

This event you're speaking of, i'd be surprised if it was just $500, I'd guess more like $1,000. The reason I say that is because if you press the 10 box button for 800, it moves the price to 1600 for the second. I am going to assume the third is 3200. So you're looking at $50 just to play the 3/3 game. That's not even a full set guaranteed, it's a set-piece guaranteed. So there's what, 6 pieces in a set, and the average chest gives you 12 tokens, towards their store in the event. Do the math, it's pretty expensive. More expensive than most are willing to pay.

These developers forget their biggest competition are traditional MMOs and shooters, shooter-games which usually only cost a box price and are free to play, with zero micro-transactions, or are subscription based with all includes and optional cosmetic sets which are not a roll of the dice, but given for a set price. These are the choices (this event and their pricing in general) that turns players off.

I dislike their raising the cost every time we click something, it reminds me too much of cheesy cash-grab mobile games. Click it once for nearly free and the second draw costs your paycheck. No thanks.

nah its actually not that predatory. the very first 10 box are at a 50% discount (to lure in players). after that 10 boxes will cost 1600 and it stays. it doesnt get more expensive the more you are buying. also the set piece is not divided into different pieces. the set comes as 1 reward. and you also dont need to put 500€ into this because every 30th box is a guaranteed exclusive price and this cant be a duplicate. i got lucky and had everything after spending 50€ which is where i draw the line for cosmetics.

Developers need to eat too. No one forces you to buy magic boxes for crying little children
P.S. Personally, I knocked out a full set after the 20th spin

It's pathetic when people make comments like this. SOMEONE is going to buy them. The fact that they exist WILL make them money and WILL condone their actions and influence them to continue such actions. Simply telling people "Just don't buy it" is illogical, pointless and just boneheaded.

What you SHOULD be doing is berating and giving them absolute hell for what they're doing to shame them for it.

They promised no pay to win. So instead we get sepperated into poor/poorest and elite class in how we dress. That way youre constantly reminded of real life inequality while you try to escape from that playing a game.

Cant wait for the next currency to be introduced to take it to the next level. How about a auction house system for real money for limited edition cosmetics where the highest bidder wins like some mobile games have already. Just keep buying more shmeckles

I bought 3x to try and get the guaranteed item. I got the little projector item... and I placed it down. I can't make more than one and its not even something I can build. TF? Says formula locked. Does that mean I get a glorified drop? Lol. Great.

Wouldn't be so bad if they actually invested money in the game servers. The lag in public areas used to be the only issue, now its spilled over into me just sitting in my base... during non-peak times at that.. I'm not for gambling but I would at least throw a few bones their way. Netease has never cared much about the games theyve published. Ever. Its a giant cash grab company. Look at Diablo Immortal, DBD, Identity V, and the rest of the games Netease has published. They are a great example of what is wrong with the video game industry besides those who are hard up for spending 4x their rent on a crappy game with a crappy publisher.
