Can someone help clarify Joining seasons now vs Waiting for Winter

Maybe its just me but i don't understand it fully. I know we can sign up now for next seasons Evo's Call and Manibus. But if we sign up for one of these does it mean we cant then join the new ones when they are launched?
I would hate to sign up now, and have the chance on missing out to start Winter when it starts

So my plan is, this Monday the 19th before swapping over to the new server unless signing up has forced me to move.

I will be doing my last cortexes on my land, then maybe getting my last controllers as well and running some silos till I run out of them, since it will be like 3-4 weeks before we can run them again on the new servers.

The Winter stuff will come for us this Oct, the main thing about going to the servers now is you can get your starchrom and maybe end up getting gear mods you like/need and have them saved up for when that winter map/mode comes into play.

I am not sure if the new servers are going to be a 6 weeks thing like last time, since the devs keep talking about maybe extending the server stuff, tho from what it looks like you can still play an extra 4 weeks on your current server before it shuts down and moves you to Eternaland.

Tho I don't think you will be unable to join the new Winter server stuff since it will most likely be on the 6 week mark like we are now and you will be asked to sign up if you want, so you will not miss out or be locked out from being able to join.

I signed up, but decided to stay until after the 22nd for the Midsummer event's 2nd phase, unless its doable on the new server as well.

Yeah, i just sold everything to sand, hurt a bit selling 20k acid for a few k sands XD i wasnt keen on having all my horde of materials follower me

Just using the time we have now to complete the game more, and look forward to winter when it comes.

I joined a new season so I can get more starchrom and blueprint fragments. Excited for the new content in October though.

why is this all so confusing though
other seasonal games don't have this much convoluted garbage

Its not that confusing, when the current servers get to phase 6 you either go play on normal/hard, pve/pvp server or you wait for new content.

The bonus if you go to a new server once phase 6 hits is that you can get more starchrome
but its all up to you if you feel like replaying the current content.

Even if you go to a new server and lets say at lvl 15 you feel like nah i dont wanna play then you can just wait for new content.

From what i understand there is only 2 main things to keep in mind.

1: if you are going for PVP server when the new content is release then you probably want to just wait it out on your old server so you dont get locked out.

2: complete anything you are still working on at your old server before moving (anything that gives rewards like starchrome and other currency)

Those seems to be the two only main things to keep in mind unless i missed something or misunderstood something, please correct me if any one knows better.
