Acid Farm question

If I've done my reading right, the only way to farm acid is to:

1) Pick up my territory and move it where the water/groundwater is polluted
2) Pump it through an osmosis filter --> impure acid
3) Feed the impure acid (apparently manually?) into barrels

So, let's presume I have a hangup with Step 1 above -- the moving part, not how the stuff is made. I'm L32 and relocating to the far NW of the zone I'm in (lowest level area I know of with polluted stuff) is so far from all future questing that teleporting out to quest areas will quickly put me in the poorhouse.

Is there no other way? I'm not opposed to a 900 polluted water carry and teleport back to base if that were possible. But the canteen won't collect it. Is relocating and a water pump the only way to make your own acid?

That's the way to passive farm it. If that won't work for you, go back and farm mobs in an area where you can mow through them and get it from them...or find a bus and shoot the feet to spawn mobs and farm them for a bit.

Oh goodness, just tried to do this.

Manual process + requires a lot of staging tanks + throughput is terrible compared to just farming it from questing/exploration.

Hard, hard pass.

Best farm is actually on higher level extraction points. if you throw in a lvl 4 blackfell mining card you get 200 acid as a reward, not counting the mobs that spawn during the event. if you eat the dish that lets you get more acid drops from monster you are quite good. + you get a lot of exp. me and my hive was pulling this off for about 1,5 hours and we actually had 5 lvl ups + collected 2k acid that way. way, way better than pulling of those slow passive acid farms.
