Once Human

Animal husbandry is a disaster
Since yesterday I have lost count of how many S tier animals I have lost to this half baked system. I have tried everything, from reinforced containment units to practically dismantling my entire defense system and packing away any kind of Deviant that may be aggressive to an escaped or visible beast in the taming process. Nothing works.
Animals just escape all the time by clipping through the walls, they start attacking everything and anyone.
When there is no clear sign they belong to you (since even after naming them it just displays "Wolf", "Boar", "Bear") you end up killing them thinking "oh I am being attacked".

Unless the development team creates actual containment units which can clearly "contain" these beasts, there is absolutely no point in making a barn or husbandry unit. Just save your S tier animals until this mess of a system is fixed or redesigned.

I knew there was something strange when these developers announced something without even a proper testing period. Now we know.

I'll be honest, I have no idea why anyone would want to capture wild animals in this game.
We already do that with deviations and those have actual uses.
So why bother with a half baked feature and let it ruin rest of the game for you ?

The attack sucks but Fences work well.

I have no idea why they even wasted time on developing and adding this to the game. I can live with the growing crops part of the game but what is the actual need for tame animals? If I wanted to play a farming simulator I would go and play a different game.
IMO a pointless and clearly buggy addition to the game.

It's the typical kitchen sink approach, throw all the features at players, make it seem like a complete package for anyone who's not actively playing, when people actually do try the said features they discover just basic outlines of what it's supposed to be.
Tbh, the crops I could absolutely live without, just like majority of this game's "features", but if they manage to catch some whales with a niche requirement for a feature, they sure will support them and add more nonsense for them to spend money on.
Coming soon: Animal containment facility, only $50 for one type of farm. :D

Farm animals seem to stay inside, I have no issues with them (yet) but aggressive beasts always escape. I tried using fences, and it doesn't matter.

Don't underestimate NetEase, they might even sell animal costume that has some unique stat bonuses :D

Because once tamed you can actually call these animals as companions, I am not sure to what extent since I haven't been able to unlock all their skills, but an S tier beast can have up to 4 unique traits the more they level up. The system has potential, but right now is half baked.

It's the same as Deviants, which we're already catching, they have skills and uses and can't actually die in combat. Your animals can die even to your own turrets lol. I'd rather have a battle Bear or Cat deviant to ride into battle, than spend dozens of hours on farm animals like I'm on a facebook minigame, only for them to randomly die and be gone forever >_>

Once tamed, your turrets will not attack them. They also increase their HP as they level up. As far as I know, they do not have a time limit as your Deviants. I am assuming these beasts can die, but if they survive, they can heal.

Right now is really a mess. Another unfinished feature like the mobile territories.

Better to not use them or try to find some niche use and stick to it until they put their sh1t together and starting fixing all this mess of a game.

Just breaking this fragile game even further. Nevermind the tape just smash some more things into it!

Without Riding Horses and/or Tractors the Ranching Sim is hollow and lame. Its just Deviation hunting with fewer perks.

Just throw half-baked bugged useless features and call it content.
Everything this patch added in a form of a content is a joke
