What do we all think about Lightforge Loot Crates?
I mean I really like the look of that bike skin but ~$2.50 a roll? At least you can't spend more than ~$375 as they capped the number you can open.

Edit: I don't condone paid for RNG loot crates in video games that can be accessed by minors. I do however support people's right to gamble with their own money. Gambling addiction is NO JOKE and not something to be mocked or ridiculed. Many lives have been destroyed because of it so please be respectful.

Most of the ingame armor and 'free' cosmetics are pretty high quality. If your wanting *screaming in your face flashing lights & colours" then yes those gaudy things are usually reserved for paid cosmetics.

Even if it is just cosmetic they are a bane in the gaming industry which only purpose is to mislead players into spending more money much like casino's, and besides 90% of the skins are all fortnighty instead of actually sticking to the ingame theme, simply terrible.

This "ranch" patch was nothing more then to push these loot crates, i mean they are releasing more skins then actual content but hey we can't expect much from NetEase regardless it is a free game and it is optional.

Personally not for me but to whoever likes them more power to you.

I did enjoy the glass house and the outdoor patio set and feel like they need to add some more none cute furnishing items to get me to open my wallet to be honest. Their recent line of cosmetics have been a miss for me personally but to each their own.

Can't argue with this. The paid for loot crate system has received so much push back from players in the past, particularly in the West, I thought it had been squashed for good. I don't think it's ethically sound to promote these practices in games that are accessible to minors but then some of the burden has to be placed on the parents too.

That being said, the drop rate percentage is ridiculously low for the legendary skins. I believe companies are now forced to provide this information by law if they're charging money for them which is great. They're also FAR too expensive currently for what they contain. If they were to produce more skins, offer them for purchase in the shop but charge less, I think they would have a much better chance at generating revenue. I think the gaming community as a whole is pretty united in their disgust towards paid for loot crates as a business practice.

It's a whale gacha. Nothing good looking for my char that I want there so I'll hard pass that. >.> Male character models getting shafted hard and not enough good looking costumes and hairstyles for males.... :<

I agree, and I have THE worst luck ever. And the annoying part is, you have to use IRL cash for it. Bruh I rather just pay it straight up instead of gambling with my piss poor luck. No to this gacha.

I was expecting a NetEase game to "limited" fomo costume thing, but I did not expect it to be a GACHA. NetEase you've already taken so much of my money this month with all the Onmyoji limited collab skins(I would of lost my marbles if those was gacha, and every single whale in CN would as well), Not today Satan.

i tried and yes this only for whales. i'm sad...

it only guarantees 1 of the big prize items so that 150 draws

You're guaranteed ONE prize, not all. So it gets pulled then everything else's drop rate increases, including the trash. Keep in mind, 30 crates is almost 45$ to buy.

NOT a fan of "loot crates" VERY predatory and veering in to PTW territory.

i thought i was the only one who felt this way and thought i am just imagining it.
+1

It demoralized me and made me stop playing the game, the prices in the store were already prohibitive, and there we have loot boxes on top of that... and the disillusionment of one season out of two PVE/PVP.

I would gladly support the game by buying things like in warframe, but it's too expensive and 200-500$ for a chance to get the bike skin... no thanks. I'm totaly against gambling with real money in video games.
