Confusion over how to obtain Lucky Crates?

So, I was really looking forward to trying to complete all of the requirements to get the full set of paintings from the event page. I cleared everything, except for the final task which requires you to get all four pieces of cosmetic gear from the lucky crates. But the issue is this:

It doesn't seem like (according to my math anyway) it would be possible to acquire enough Lucky Crates to actually do this. You seem to get a cosmetic piece in a rate of about 1 in 10, which means, at bare minimum, you would require 40 Lucky Crates to guarantee completing the set and thus unlocking the last two paintings.

The problem? Well, you can't get 40 lucky crates from the various event pages. At most, you get about 15-20 of them. This means the overwhelming, vast majority of players will not be able to obtain these last two paintings before they go away forever on February 16th.

So... am I missing something here? How on earth does one obtain more lucky crates? Or is it really just reserved for a very (VERY) lucky and privileged few?

I have tried looking online for more information about this, and even tried asking people in in-game chat, but it seems like absolutely no one has any idea about it either. Some clearer communication here would be really appreciated.


EDIT - To avoid confusion, I am talking specifically about lucky crates here, not deviant bags. Lucky crates CANNOT be purchased from the event shop via lucky coins. ONLY the deviant bags can, which do NOT have a chance to drop the new cosmetic gear items.

It’s 40 at most ; there is a pity every 10 boxes, but that doesn’t change the issue…

You get around 30 if you buy all the P2W stuff and exhaust all the free sources.

To get 40 boxes – unless the mysterious event provides some more, like, a lot more – you’ll need to rank top 50 in ALL rankings (Dungeon solo and team, race solo and team and parkour.) I can’t see how many boxes the paid things gave, but if it doesn’t get you to 30, you may even have to aim for rank 2~3. Good luck.
