Once Human

Once Human

Random invites
How do I turn off the ability for random people to invite me?
It locks up the game for 30 seconds until I acknowledged at which time 5 mobs are killing me dead.
I can't play for 30 minutes without getting invited randomly 10 or more times.
Starting to think it's trolling as it always happens at the most inopportune times.

It shouldn't be locking up like that in the first place. It's probably something to do with the memory leaks going on in this game and the heavy lack of optimization. This problem has been getting worse and worse with each update and NetEase doesn't seem to give a rats ass. AFAIK, there is no option to disable invites at all.

This could solve a lot of problem:
create a hive -with you only, 1 player hive is alright
create a warband with you only
create a team with you only -check a mark to "hide team from search"
now your immune to invite to: team, hive, warband. i guess you can still get invited for friends

You can create hive/warband at no cost, and deleting them take whole 15 second if you want to join a proper hive/warband

While that is an alright workaround, it doesn't actually solve the problem itself. There should be toggles in the games options so we can choose what we want to allow or not.

I still get invites from other players or requests of some kind when I;m in a team(duo).

As for the locking up.. It doesn't freeze the game, but I am playing with a controller.
When an invite request comers in, I can no longer control my character. The only thing I can do at this time while the 30 second timer is ticking down is to accept or deny the request. If my character is auto sprinting or driving they will continue that way.
The prompt to accept or deny comes up on the right side of the screen and is not noticeable as it should be. Due to this, there is always a period of a few seconds of me wondering wth I just auto ran off a cliff and died because couldn't stop running.
It also doesn't help that to accept or deny a request on a controller that it takes a combo of buttons (rb + *).

I just want an actual privacy setting. This has been a big turn off because this can be used to troll. Happened last night 3 times within a 5 minute period from three different players.

I'm not asking for a solo mode, I'm just asking for ways to stop from being effed with random players who can and do interfere with the experience of the game.

Woooow. That is some sloppy game design right there. Well, this only reinforces what I said. This game needs options to control this stuff. I find this invite stuff annoying too, but I play on KB&M so it's more of an annoyance than an actual game breaker for me. That would be a deal breaker for me. No way would I put up with that for very long.

How?? I've tried to invite people that were in a team before and it doesn't let you.

And to be clear, no I don't try to randomly invite people to a team (that's weird to me to be honest), nor have I ever had this happen, but sometimes people forget that if they were in a team, everyone leaving it doesn't mean you're no longer in that team.
