Once Human

Once Human

Considering returning to game - good time?
We left the game after playing from release to one season of Way of Winter, I think beginning of December. We're thinking about coming back. Has the game improved in any significant way since then? I'm assuming we can just join one of the new or recently started Manibus maps. What's the word?

Thanks

The Stellar Stairway has basically killed any reason to do Base Purification or Prime Wars. Starchrom is so plentiful that you can quickly max out the stars on all your gear.

Chaosweavers don't trash your base anymore.

If you can, try to get into a Lunar server as the Lunar season league will only run for a couple of seasons and has exclusive mods, deviants, and animals.

I thought season-specific items were not transferable to a new season?
I truly hope they don't do exclusive loot with game play impacts. It is a massive turnoff for new players (and old ones) to know they can't have the most effective build
because they missed the boat.

What's the stellar stairway? Not familiar with that term.

EDIT: Never mind, I researched it. Very interesting. They've made it so that players do not have to do anything in particular to get their gear maxed, which means they can play any way they prefer. I think that's generally a very positive thing, although it makes me wonder how this game will handle the lack of endgame content. I mean, what's the point to maxing out your gear if there's no fun place to use it?

Unfortunately, I've reached the end game in 2 days and everything were done... except the pro things... for a lvl 50 do something 60 is completely unreachable.. I am solo player and all I can say is, at the end you will get bored with nothing else to do...

My apologies, I should use different wording, just trying to use terms that Diablo and PoE players are familiar with.

Seasonal items are destroyed yes, but Once Human now has their own version of a PoE Season League known as the Visional Wheel.

The current Season League is known as the Visional Wheel: Lunar. Lunar specific drops of animals, mods, and deviants are kept based on banking rules. The Lunar Visional Wheel will only run for a couple server durations which is why my server has everyone literally everywhere with the server lagging out every bloodmoon.
Meanwhile Manibus is a ghost town with barely a handful of people active at a time - making Nightmare Prime Wars impractical and meaning there is nobody to buy fully buffed disassembly benches, supplies benches, furnaces or kitchens from.

The Stellar Stairway set out to allow players to play their way without worrying about missing out on all the possible Starchrom. Unfortunately it means there are exploits that can earn all the asterisms you need without really playing the game. Like mining and making ingots or even boiling water. What it means now is the players who use alts can max out not just their level, resources and specialisations but also their starchrom (besides waiting for time gated stages to unlock) within a couple of days. I don't use alts but even I have 37 asterism crates waiting to be used after capping the monthly asterism / starchrom.

People moved onto Lunar Oracle scenarios. What did you expect?

i don't see a problem in this, it took away the need for me to login daily and play like a mad man to get all and not lose on starcrom. in a way they fixed my addiction, and i'm now in less stress and not always in a mode of, hmm should i buy a new skin. i play less now.

They should ditch that setting (different scenarios at diff servers). It's confusing for LOT of new players, and old ones, won't bother to return. People either have to bunny hopping in servers to get stuff or just don't get it at all. And that Lumen thingy it's lame as well. Forcing again people to join Lumen just for exclusives, and loosing stuff from another scenarios, and rest of the servers are just ghost towns. Just get rid of that.
