Snow and Blizzards?

I got a specialisation to allow me to build snow trekking gear and it says it increases your movement speed in snow and in blizzards

Where or when is there snow and blizzards?

Sounds like a Way of Winter exclusive ability. If you're on Manibus servers you likely won't have a use for it

I am playing Way of Winter now. It gets cold in places and the ground looks like snow but it doesn't slow me down without the gear.

And Ive never seen a blizzard, maybe its a late stage thing

You might be right. There was a point in the first season of Way of Winter that even inside your house it was too cold unless your tower was activated.

I hope something like that happens later season, I was expecting weather to be a real factor I had to plan around, but so far its been super underwhelming. I havent needed to build a single temperature control device yet

Usually during nighttime in a mountain area but parts of it will work regardless of temperature or area. Haven't tested it fully but I've ran it for 3 seasons and is pretty invaluable and will always try to get snow trekkers from others if I don't end up rolling for it.

It will hit you at some point. It will get to at least -30 below. That's usually due to a Chaosweaver being in your zone. With cold (10 degrees) resistant pants and shirt, and all-weather stew, I didn't have a problem.
