Perm Servers Coming March 13
Yager the Yager — Yesterday at 7:25 PM
Season Non-Shutdown Functionality

Hi Metas! @Game News
Permanent servers are coming on March 13.

Following the update, all servers except private servers will automatically be converted into permanent servers after closing. The conversion process takes approximately 2 hours, during which the server cannot be accessed. (The processing time may vary. Refer to the relevant announcement for the actual time.)

The conversion process retains the data of all active characters on the server, including their level, materials, Deviations within their territories, and social relationships. Players can then continue using these characters on the permanent server.

Characters who have not logged in for an extended period (approximately 30 days) will not be retained on the permanent server. Instead, they will enter the server settlement and sign-up process by default. This is to prevent inactive characters from tying up server resources, as well as situations where there are too few active players.

Characters initially transferred to the permanent server will also be removed if they remain inactive for an extended period (30 days). Once removed, they can sign up for a new scenario to continue playing.

Following conversion into a permanent server, scenarios will come with or without Visional Wheel features.
Without Visional Wheel: The scenario will not be affected by the Visional Wheel.
With Visional Wheel: The scenario will be affected by the Visional Wheel, and new Visional Wheel effects will become available over time.
Scenarios with the Blood Moon (Visional Wheel) tag will be converted into permanent servers with Visional Wheel features. Scenarios without the Blood Moon tag will be converted into permanent servers without Visional Wheel features.

If two or more servers share the same region, scenario, and Visional Wheel status, they may be converted into separate Worlds on the same permanent server. Players from these servers can visit each other by switching Worlds.

We will upgrade the permanent server feature in Q2 2025. As part of this upgrade, the login requirement for active player status will be relaxed from within 30 days to a longer period, such as 180 days, allowing returning players to join permanent servers. The actual implementation timeline will be shared in an upcoming announcement.

Thanks :D
I hope this satisfies the permanent server group... but I don't think it will.

It will not.

What they want is an entire restructure of the progression system so it flows more like World of Warcraft and less like a Progressive Roguelike.

I know...
30 days inactive will be removed from perm server... I can foresee those perm will become a ghost world very easy, bcs it keep to exile player over time.
this is a fake permanent server if the seasonal goals/ season pass will not be updated.

It's to late. dev really need common sense.
Hmm this is not so much different than season ends, i though they will integrated new scenario into permanent server and let people play the scenario without exit current server. If we have to move into new server every scenario then there's no different than we already got now.
For those who want wipes, they will still having it. When season ends you decide, stay for permanent or, as always, apply for new season. That's all.

There is a lot of people who don't need to have 5 stars weapons+armors and other stuff, so... leave them in their world, that's all.

Don't try to guess what others think hehehe. The progression will still being the same for those who want wipes for to have 5 stars toys, races for getting the best oil farming point with several characters for farming everythings pretty pretty fast... the usual xD, for you everything will stay as always.

The diference, this "add" (it is not a change, just adding to the game) to the game will allow to several players to keep playing the game. Personally, i love it... and a lot of players bored for resets and leaving the game in just a remember.

When this turns active, i want to see the movement of players in servers, we will see how many people play with or without wipes.

This way, developers will retain those players and this mean (probably) more people buying cosmetics.

The formula it's simple:
More players playing = More cosmetics sales
No players playing = Nobody buy cosmetics

They can still earn starchrom without season goal. the Stellar Stairway will reset every month. Adding stars can go on.

Days of server wipes is getting old and becoming thing of past, not sure the fancy with wiping ones progress, why not just add content to permanent severs with seasons like Skull and Bones and stop wiping like Diablo and POE. I loved Diablo 4 but couldnt take resetting characters every 3 months and, now they made it so you can level super easy why have to level at all just keep your level, to each his own, IMO I love this game going permanent just started literally 7 days ago, hit lvl 50 in 3 days, reset and now lvl 41 today and servers going permanent I will be one of those that stays so they have my money

I am so ready for all the crying and moaning about how a bunch of alts (or legit players) are taking up oil fields / special zones.

Server wipes gave everybody a fair chance at going for those unique zones that provides different bonus / benefits.

Or even if you hate your neighbour's lack of effort on their roofless shack ruining your base's aesthetics. The issue doesn't last forever. But now, it will in the perm servers.
