Pup Buddy in PvE?

I have found the zombie that is suspended under the Pup Buddy in the Red Sands area PvE on 2 occasions but each time I shoot the zombie the Pup Buddy deviant just disappears. I really would love to have it as I want to make the Featherweight potion.

Does anyone know if this is a bug or am I doing something wrong?

About 3 seasons back, you were able to get Pup Buddy from the floating enemies w/ balloons. Albeit it was still a relatively slim chance (at least personal experience)

But about 2 seasons ago, the access to Pup Buddy via Manibus / PvE has been taken out, and Pup Buddy is now strictly a deviation gained via PvP mode.

If you want it, you can see about trading with someone in your server.

I'm aware that it used to be a PvP only deviant. But there is a YouTube vid where a guy gets it at the Blackfell Oil Fields and he claims he is on a PvE server. I came across it again today at the Blackfell Fallen Zone and exactly the same thing happened. I tried to interact with it and eventually I shot it and the Pup Buddy disappeared.

I don't know if it's a bug or some kind of teaser or it may just be there for looks. I will ask on my server to see if anyone has it available for a reasonable price.

It used to be possible to obtain it on PvE servers by shooting the floating zombies.
However, nowadays, even though the floating zombies are still present on PvE servers, they no longer drop it.

You can verify this by checking the details page of your scenario, where you'll see that the Pup Buddy is no longer listed as available.

I’ve confirmed this myself (as I was planning to make a video about it) by defeating them over 100 times without receiving any drops.

I got it every time in pvp and that was a week ago so if your not getting it in pve then its probably been taking out or very hard to get in pve also are you checking the zombie dropped items i got mine from zombies dropped loot

This is the way to go, yes. But.
It's not always accurate. Unsure if it's oversight, bug, or intentionally hidden.

It's a Youtube video, y'all need to stop treating that as some source of infallible info source. Anybody can upload, anybody can make whatever ♥♥♥♥ up.

Like I've said, if you want Pupbuddy.
- Join a scenario with PvP (Evolution's Call / Prismverse)
- Trade with someone who has it from a previous scenario (If you're in PvE)

Or add someone to your friend on once human and invite them to your eternaland that has a pup buddy and they can drop one down for you i have 3 i dont need them all ill give one or someone on here can give you one either way
