Should I stay on my current server or is it mandatory to register for a new one ?
I don't want to restart and grind the whole thing again what happen if I stay in my current server ?

You should always check the patch notes but It's a nice day, the sun is shining so I'll help you out.
Note this applies to every server - once servers reach the final phase (4) they change to permanent servers so you can simply stay on that server. If the player count is either low or very high then the server you are on will get merged with another perm server, you do not need to do anything as it's done in the background, the server number may change but that's all. While servers are actually being merged you cannot log in but that only takes a couple of hours.

I am not sure that's correct . It will eventually close and you will be placed in to Etherland until you choose a new server ( Game ) this may be the same as you plated before or you can try a different story. This games design is one of re-set and go again. The most important upgrades and unlocks go with you, you can also take a amount of basic items with to get started.

But don't worry. The re-set is not a bad thing it's one of the games unique selling points meaning you can play with friends who join after you as no one can race to far ahead, although there you do carry some benefits over to the the new server. It takes a while to get your head around but I think it's a great system.

Oh thats nice, I thought the permanent servers were going to be something you had to opt into at the start of a season.

Bro, there are literally permanent servers now. You just stay in your server and it becomes permanent. This was heavily anticipated by the casual crowd and they made a big announcement about it weeks ago.

I'm guessing you still need to eventually hop to a different server to do newer content like going from the newbie manibus scenario to that frozen wasteland one with the furnace tower things.

Or can you do that switch while staying on a permanent server? that'd be wild.
