Retrieving Character Data Fix?

I'm a returning player, when I open the game all servers are down and says Retrieving Character Data 3/6, what does that mean? I cant see my old account and cant even create a new one.

I'd try verifying files in Steam, and then Repair Files in the game load screen. Then, restart your PC.
If that doesn't work, try a clean install. Delete the game from Steam, go into the Steam Folder, delete the leftover folder that may contain some leftover files, restart PC and then download again.
If those suggestions don't work, then you'll have to take a shot on Discord since the Devs don't look at Steam Discussions and won't be able to provide any support from here.

Oddly enough, I only had that problem when I had enabled my VPN protection on Norton. When I turned that off, at least for the game startup period, it completed loading the character data without any problems.
