Well, if you sit your character down on a bar stool, the backpack will disappear. Maybe they took a picture of that and are claiming the ability to hide it.

Its a known bug and temporary. Get in car > switch seats > aim down sights with a sniper out of the window > while aiming, press F to get out of the car. Youll exit the vehicle with no backpack on.

Take bath can hide backpack too. I also read another post talking about hide backpack method, but it need to edit code, very technical, and not guarantee it work for every update patch. In fact, what he posted is not working bcs he said that is out dated.
