Once Human

Building panel pack way too expensive
I enjoy the game and want to support with money but 50€ for some building cosmetics which only i would be looking at it, is way too expensive.
Any other way to obtain those frames or do they have any sales?

Everyone can see your house - even if you use cosmetics, they can see those too. I will agree though, the cosmetics are a bit pricey.

If it's any consolation at all, I have seen some really amazing builds that use no cosmetics at all - a search on YouTube will show you what is possible.

There is actually a way to obtain the "frames" but it's a chore.
The first step is having someone who has bought those cosmetics, given permission to build in your base, place any pieces you need. Then you can save the blueprint of that home and take it with you into other servers into the future.

Even if those blocks get destroyed, as long as you have the materials you can repair it at the territory control beacon, you can move them around but cannot copy or build more without someone who has the recipe.
It's not for most of us, if you think its expensive then clearly you have not the finances to burn on a free to play game that does not have a pay to win mechanics. It's best to walk away from the cash shop, unless they have a sale or a dlc pack or whatever. With the cost of living and weak currency well, food in your belly and electricity to power your computer is more important so you can keep playing.

This is ultimately the reason I may have to quit playing.
After 1,700 hours, and roughly $300 spent towards cosmetics already.. I can't seemingly justify having to spend upwards of $75 CAD x2 for the glass and purple building packs, let alone any of the others.

After doing maths it would cost someone anywhere between $500-$1000 to get all of the buildables and that is too much for any game.

If you are only "playing the game" so you can build fancy houses, then yeah you might as well find a building game you like. No one is forcing you to buy **purely cosmetic** building material packs. You CAN build without them. So if you feel you need to quit simply because you don't want to spend another $300 (your cost analysis, not mine) on unnecessary cosmetics, then so be it. There are a lot of FREE building games out there that you might enjoy more.

these cosmetic are expensive because it's the only reason any dev team would ever add cosmetics at all. If you check every other game, from indie to AAA, most games don't give you much aesthetic choice with just buying the game, if at all.

Had this game been like any game, devs would just sell it for $60 without any cosmetics whatsoever. It's the microtransaction that make these cosmetics available in the first place.

These cosmetics are there, they don't take or add anything to the game other than letting some other rich guy paying your $60 due so you can play the whole game for free. If you don't like how they handle microtransaction in the game, just ignore the whole in-game shop and play this game as if you downloaded the game on pirate bay.

LOL! Yeah I saw that *other* post too. Goodness! I have bought some cosmetics in this game, some house/decorating and a couple player cosmetics. But I'm okay choosing to spend what I can afford to throw away when I know what I'm getting for my money is what I wanted. I will not throw away money on a gamble of *maybe* getting what I wanted. Nope! Not today lil satan!

I don't have a lot to say against general microtransactions in these "free to play" games. I believe developers earn that money (errm, most of the time). I have bought cosmetics in this game, and don't regret doing it. But where *I* draw the line, personally, is the gambling aspect of... pay $x for a CHANCE to win the thing you want, or a bunch of needless crap you never plan on actually using. If they want to sell vehicle skins, then just stick a pricetag on them - people WILL buy them.

I made a choice for me... I could take my family out to eat at a very popular chicken place for $75, or I could stay home, cook the same meal myself for $10 and spend $60 for pixels. I cooked at home and got the same meal, AND got my pixels. I don't mind doing that. But I'm not going to spend $60 spinning a roulette wheel for a cool vehicle skin, just to end up with a stupid charm to put on my.... MACHINE GUN???? rme

TL/DR: I have no problem tossing a little money into a "free" game for some pixels I think look cool. I have a problem with throwing my money away on a gamble.
My issue with the game is that i don't wish to spend 50€ on a feature when the game barely provides with zero multiplayer experience.
If you can't enjoy the end game what's the point of spending money.
I have reached 50lvl with ZERO groups on Bosses (hard or normal)
ZERO players for SILOS and i'm bored AF
I can see my self spending that money on Warframe (i did with several 10€ transactions within a 2month window) or Destiny i guess BUT the matchmake system provides me with FULL playability.
Once Human is just an empty game it feels dead to me, therefore the prices feel ridiculous i guess

there are plenty of people trying to match up with each other in game though. but like you said, you dont really need other people to actually down bosses in silo's and monoliths. and to be fair, i like it the way it is.
i have joined groups before where it was clear that the guys just wanted a carry. meaning they did little to no damage, had no awareness at all as they kept getting killed and on top of that, blame me for them dying....

yeah... global chat was a popcorn fest after i quit those groups lmao.

Except that never seems to work, at least for me.
