Unlock drill "Unlocks when the current season reaches Tame the Staroid" ?

Confused as people recommend using the drill, but the tool tip on the tech tree suggests its not in the game yet? Do i need to get to a certain mission?

That’s through inheriting it. Basically, when you quit a scenario, all your items go to some kind of graveyard/museum, and when you start a new scenario, you can bring some of these back. Each item costs a varying amount of points, while you have 20 000 available.

The drill and the chainsaw are among the items that provide the best value since they speed up the early game a lot, and usually last until you can craft more of them in phase 2+.

If you’re a first timer, you might want to wait until phase 2 unlocks before doing anything that is resource-intensive, so you can rush the drill and make your life much, much easier.

The suggestion is to bring the Advanced Electric Drill as the first priority from Eternalland when you start your second season (and all subsequent seasons). In your first season you have to make do with working your way up the tech tree to make different pickaxes and then Drills.

So you have to complete the scenario to unlock the drill crafting skill?

I got as far as the drill unlock, but the message in the title is the error i see stopping me unlocking it. From what the other chap mentioned it seems i have to complete the season to be able to unlock those rewards. Me and a friend started playing a couple of days ago so were not too far in the story line yet.

you need memetics that are not available until phase 2 (1 week after the season starts. upgrade the furnace / pickaxe line and the supplies bench. You will need to unlock electricity at least two level as well to be able to make high voltage batteries. The materials required will partly come from map regions that are not open in the first week. So the only way to have a drill in week one is to bring it from eternalland from the gear created in the previous season.

I'm repeating what other said here but maybe their wording confused you. This game mechanics can be overwhelming for newcomers that old player might see it as normal after all.

Your server has to be in Phase 2 for the rest of memetic tree to be unlocked and makes drills available.

If there's other people using drill in Phase 1, that means they have complete a scenario in another server and they use export feature to bring drills they've prepared from the last server they played with them.

I think i get it, me and my mate are not far enough in the story line yet. Were persuing the story now.
