After you place it in a securement unit, find it in the game world and acess its inventory, then you need to wait for a time for it to "process" the items.

Ah, that explains it :) So the box I can see when I activate his securement unit, is the output box

Get close to it when it's walking around and press F key, you get the output from the securement unit after 1 hour.

120+ logs gave 1 water and 1 charcoal......

yeah its trash, i gave it tier V materials gave me copper bullets and sea water.

placed 12 silver ingots, i got prestine meat, gold croco hide, gold AP ammos and a prestine canned food. I'm going to try gold ingot next

dont abuse, dun want it to get nerfed but example:
put gold/silver/tung/alum ingots (max amount) dont try to fill box full of em

The quantity of an item does not seem to be decisive for what you get, rather the rarity and combination of items. If the formula is not suitable or optimal, you will also not get a good result.

It seems you can get just about any item that is available in the game. So far I have gotten (in winter scenario):

- some Lunar Wool (golden)
- some Golden Wool
- some Rare Crystal Sets
- a few Advanced Drills
- a few Logging Chainsaws
- some Gold Bars
- some Silver Bars
- lots of deviated plants
- lots of pristine meat
- lots of Smart AP Ammo
- various good dishes
- fertilizer
- Chaosium, Oil, Acid, Source, Water...

The description seems to indicate that the "value" of the items you put in determine the item pool of possible outcomes but I haven't spent enough time with it to figure out what that means yet (I think it's probably more likely to be the Energy Link value rather than rarity). I've put in tons of rare stuff and got junk but also put in some junk and got rare stuff. Seems very random to me, I'd say just treat it like a slot machine and just throw whatever in there that you don't need and isn't worth selling or disassembling.

My friend got me to have a second look and since server is ending I am feeding it whatever... have a vehicle repair drill, ore from Way of Winter (am on Manibus), tung ammo -and bananas, seaweed and other random stuff. Good to keep storage clean -v random.
