scenarios with lunar oracle unlocks

Can someone explain to me what is this (like what are scenarios? the seasons?)
"the version 1.4 update will introduce the brand-new Visional Wheel. The first Lunar Oracle will affect all non-novice scenarios, so get ready for a special experience! (will this affect my current season map i'm playing or shall i exit? i'm confused like what am i supposed to do here).
To ensure you can fully enjoy the new visual scenarios, we will provide you with a Scenario Exit Card and reset the cooldown. You can now sign up for new scenarios freely.

i'm so overwhelmed and confused, so many things i don't know what to do with them lol.
I'm just going to skip and delete, this getting crazy :P

It's a long time event that last more than the usual 30 day scenario. Durgin in-game nigth you lose sanity outside your base and enemy are more stronger, both Manibus and WoW world bosses and deviants around the map. You get also a new resource to buy new things.
