Driving seems the worse. Never seen a bike to unresponsive at times just feels sluggish in the responses when steering and such.
Same with shooting. This is the only large online game I pay where I see so much lag and sluggishness
I'm not sure if that's better.
Dont believe you
a few mobs lagged a bit.
the funniest is standing outside a camp waiting 6min for it to spawn cause the server cant keep up where i am when using the bike XD
Well lucky you, but normally half of 1st timers in PWs complainned in chat how much it lagged, by Pro PWs phase, in the server i was, we had at least 2 players constantly telling others don't use deviants because they lagged.
Outside of PWs several mobs, wouldn't even register player presence if it was lagging, by phase 5 they even increased the number of mobs around bumping the overall lag, that was solved by mid phase 1 of 2nd Season, at least for me.
My perception of it, in August had more serious lattency spikes with issues extending for 2 to 3 days, and September was mostly a stable bump higher than the normal latency with issues extending for 1 to 2 days.
I am also witnessing a pattern for me, normally the day before of the incoming patch the game will run as smooth as it can be, the next day there will be sporadic lattency spikes and the following days will be stable until the day before patch where it's quite evident server response being better and smoother.
Too much ♥♥♥♥ going on taxing the system. Season 1 was fine cause everyone were newbs and still learning the ropes so lots of the bases were just basic builds. Fast forward to season 2 as the base builds get more complex. The game mechanics and server system resources are required too . . .
-monitor each and every plant in each base by sunlight, water and fertilization stats. I wager some player bases have 70+++ plants and the system resources have to keep track of each individual one even when the player is offline, lol.
-each item of food tracks decay by the minute. Even when you are logged off. Example, if you have food item that has 60 minutes left til spoilage, if you log off and comeback at the 55 minute mark it will show 5 minutes left.
-all the player base crafting mechanics the game has to track, automatic water purifiers, automatic sprinklers, auto turrets, grow lights, acid farms, etc. lol
-the deviants that resource farm for you while you offline
etc
