The quest continues to find pants. Its been 2 hours. i've escaped the lab and built a little shack. about to go hunting deer for pants material. Th quest continues. My ass continues to be shown to all.

You'll unlock them quickly, and once you know the system you'll get them extra quickly after that.

Then you'll do something with a larger group involved and watch people vanish and then appear with half gear and such and realize it doesn't matter.

Craft a baseball bat and keep using the starter gear. Upgrade bat to like level 3, Mix in 3 pieces with more melee bonus and youre good to go to Tier 3. Once youre at tier 3 craft proper gear and weapons. Lots of 3s.

You have to make a gear workbench and then you can craft pants.
