Can growshroom find other growshrooms while harvesting mushrooms ?

I want to say yes, I've heard people saying so. But have yet to see it my self so far.

You can 100% get growshrooms from planting mushrooms. The first time it happened to me I was mega confused. There were two growshrooms just standing still among all my planted mushrooms. I could then "harvest"/pick them up, so I don't see any reason why an active growshroom couldn't harvest them also.

yea i don't think they do that, never got one from my farm, same for using fertiliser, i don't think they don't use that either.
and if they do, then they don't use the item up.

You CAN get Growshrooms from planting mushrooms. When the crop is ready to harvest they will be standing in place of the fully grown crop. Not sure if the active growshroom will harvest it but I don't see why they wouldn't.

Unless they have changed something recently? I can 100% confirm it happened but it was about 3 weeks ago. I haven't tested it post recent patch but I just planted approx 100 mushrooms so I'll report back here when they mature (if I get lucky). They're constantly messing with deviation drop rates without being transparent so it wouldn't surprise me if they have changed something.

First season, I did get 2 growshrooms from my pickup from the containment unit.

Since then, in this new season:

im running 120 boxes with shrooms.

The first time I did my 120 plant setup, I had 3 Growshrooms jsut standing there. Since then, its 1 every 250 plants, I will get one.


Bigger question, Can you get the XL-Groowshroom, or the Glowshroom from planting? or are those only in the wild?

According to As5AppL3 they got an "epic" one so it's either an extremely high level or a "Shiny". Not experimented enough myself to confirm.

Just an update for you Noxsa. I can 100% confirm you can STILL get growshrooms from planting mushrooms. I kinda messed up the experiment as I harvested some which matured early and then planted in those spots using the special fertilizer to increase deviation. Just logged in and I have 3 growshrooms standing in my farm area. One is in a planter box and two are in loamy soil. Will activate a growshroom and see if it harvests them now.

Can also confirm active Growshroom will harvest the grown Growshrooms too.

Aftermath the answer to your question is YES. Growshrooms can find other Growshrooms while harvesting mushrooms.

Planting, yes. I had perhaps 6 or 7 of the XLs and exactly ONE Green Growshroom from roughly 500-750 plants.

I decided to give it a roll, collected several hundred seeds (mushroom cave) and then used the breeding fertilizer to make 3xs the seeds. I had approx 125 planters going at the time.

I also had 12 bees going and used only mutated fertilizers after I had my seeds. (A recent patch suggested that some bees might not have been performing properly, I could never tell.)

Low drop rate to be sure. The Green will be moving with me to Season 3 even if I don't use it, haha.

I just updated to 170 boxes. Hoping to get some of the Shrooms I dont have. I got 19 bees going, and is it better with deviated soil vs norm? I have yet to see a differnce.
