How to get GENE FABRIC?

How do you get Gene Fabric.

This is the closest thing I could find and it's as helpful as sand on a sith lord.

Check level 40 Memetics, you need to unluck Gene Fabric from those.

1. Build Gene Extractor
2. Have Extractor in your backpack
3. Mass kill Deviants to get Gene Fragments
4. Use Advanced Supplies Workbench to build fabric.

(you might need different extractors for different fragments.)

I am looking all over for this Memetic. What branch is it under? Infrastructure? Logistics? The only rig I see are the Mining and logging.

Where is level 40, my memetics only go to 5?

Is it available in a PVE world? Is it hidden behind a boss?

I don't play the PVP Scenario, is it maybe available there? If not It might be a placeholder for now and added later no? sometimes they add costumes to the files you can look at in game cosmetic tab but cant buy. thats my guess.
On the Server I'm playing (Week 5 2nd Scenario) no one have seen this Gene Extractor or Gene Fabric Meme.

Not playing Prismverse but if someone says lvl 40 and memetic in the same sentence they are likely talking about "Memetic Specializations" not the Memetic Tree where you are looking.

Ok guys, I APPRECIATE that you're trying to help, but NONE of these words mean anything to me.

The article reads like i'm one of the game developers. I understand there are PVE and PvP servers. I have NO IDEA what the difference is. What level of PvP there is. How much PvP (base raiding) etc. Why we're talking about PvP or PvE. Who cares? Play the game.

I just selected the first server the game offered, not understanding a SINGLE word of what these things meant. I only ASSUME you're talking about servers. I selected a specialization based upon what I felt was the best at the time. Only an IDIOT would allow you to CHANGE that many ONLY 3x. Only an idiot would think that's a good idea with only RNG as your god.

This game is (unnecessarily) complicated and I just want to play and build. Not read a dictionary, a manual, cure cancer, and then a guide before I can PLAY THE GAME.

Can someone explain how to get Gene Fabric WITHOUT using Circular reasoning? Because I'm gonna put it in the WIki which is as barren as the sahara desert.

OK now I think I got the problem. I'm going to take a wild guess and say you have started to play this game maybe a month ago? You have not chosen a new server after you started to play the first time?

IF I'm correct you can ignore the gene fabric thing completely. You are most likely playing in PvE Novice server and you simply can't build Gene Extractor in that server. Period.

If you have leveled to 20 and have done the small quest - series to open eternal land then when time comes you can choose new season/server, then if you choose a server that has mention of PRISMVERSE PVP and then you choose to side with Mayflies THEN AND ONLY THEN you can build the Gene Extractor and eventually the Gene Fabric.

For some annoying reason the game shows the gene fabric choice for all players but it's literally only (currently) actually available in the specific season/server and the specific side.

If it's a memetic special, it may not show up unless you randomly unlocked it. All mem specials are random selections. You may also find it as a switch in card from some drops, again, very rng.. like 0.005% chance sort of thing.

My season ends in 8 days. WHICH server do I need to select next to play the FULL game? What does that entail? In PvP can you freely raid people' bases, because I do NOT want that. I DESPISE Rust. I do NOT want that.

There is no "Full Game" server. The idea is that differently named servers have different stories, different mechanics and different loot (Blueprint/Deviations).

Servers I know of:

Manibus
Manubus Hard

These are basically season 1 (PvE) servers. Story is the same you went through in novice, just with somewhat harder enemies.

Prismverese

This is the PvP server. Even in PvP your base can't be raided and destroyed unless you so choose. Basically the only time your base is in danger is when you are doing the Territory Purification, this forces you into Free-For-All PvP State for the duration of the purification task. And you should be able to control this to a degree, simply by choosing a good base location and purification time. You can't be offline raided like in RUST. I could be wrong but to my understanding the PvP is quite voluntary even in Prismverse, as long as you don't go to clear PvP areas and start to piss people off you should be able to play in peace.

The Way Of Winter

This is basically season 2 (PvE) server. New map, new enemies, new deviations new everything. You can get better idea from steams announcement than me.

Basically you need to choose what kind of play you want. I'm very casual so I will probably go another round of Manibus to power myself up before going to The Way Of Winter.
