SEA server "upgrades" almost doubled my latency

I'm in New Zealand. Before the patch, the best region for me to play in was SouthEast Asia. That gave me 120 ping which is... not great, but liveable. Now with the 1.2 patch they claim they "upgraded" the servers. What they did is not specified but I expect they moved it to a different datacenter. A number of people in-game reported improvements to their ping (IE 70 to 40) but for me it went from 120 to 210-220. The game plays awfully like this. The worst thing seems to be that jumping is clientside but grabbing to climb is serverside, leading to 3 or 4 attempts being needed to just grab something to climb it. Loot boxes also take even longer to open, and grabbing open world floor salvage is laggier too.

I was curious if any region are better now than they were at launch, but going into the server list from the main menu, EVERY REGION SHOWS ALL GREEN! Useless.

I'm in Australia, used to get 100 ping on SEA servers.
Now, same server, 250 ping.

I logged in this morning and despite the fact that my server's population is dropping rapidly with people going to the new pvp scenario, everything still runs like ass. I can't even harvest my crops without lagging.

If this is just how it is now, my time with the game is done.

o thank christ , i thought it was just me , been having a pain with loading game lately , if i load from desktop icon the game almost loads , then my 2nd monitor goes a solid colour , i get an earpearcing sound and comp freezez ,need to do a hard restart .. so the Lat issue is all of us poor slobs in Aus and Nz.

Me and all my mates have more then doubled too (West Aussies). For me it was around 140ms, Now I am lucky to be 300ms. I am the worst of the bunch, but not my much.

Same here as a Australian Ping increased. I've also noticed a large performance drop forcing me to make a lot of modifications to get a consistent and playable frame rate.

Go and try the JPN servers - they are at 140. Which is weird, because when I checked them at games launch they were 250-300+ Its almost as if JPN and SEA swapped places.

But yeah, we here in NZ, and I see lots of Aussies complaining too, have been screwed. We can;t leave the server without losing all our account stuff, and any money we spent. Their genius decision to tie everything to the regional server is a clusterf**k.

Even thought regional servers mean nothing as evidenced by Eternaland - which is global and ignores regions.

this server update made my ping so bad in the game was at 90-100ms and now it's 240-590ms this makes the game unplayable and I do enjoy the game and in from Australia

hi,i got same problem from sydney my ping was 110-120 max and i was playing with no problem, now last two days getting worse and worse ping more than doubled 260 or more and disconnecting 100 times a not able to do anything ..

ok thats good. i thought i was the only one. i didnt hear anything about server upgrades but they certainly aint good if were getting double the previous ping...

Usually its 56-60 sometimes 40 when player count is lower, i guess you fellas need better internet as simple as that.

NZ here and same ping as before here on SEA-X0003 (Singapore). You guys went from the Singapore server to the Japan server and are surprised that your ping went up? Japan to Singapore is an additional 9000 km guaranteed. This will equate in terms of fibre speed an additional 120-140 ping.
