My first and main character got some insane lucky rolls. Nearly two full sets of legendary armor blueprints, the Jaws Pistol blueprint up to 3 star and a couple other assorted goodies.
My second character never got above an epic roll, and the damage fall off when I couldn't upgrade a weapon to level 10 was noticeable.
My third character managed to get a Memento Pistol and I was contemplating how I was playing the game wrong when both Jaws and Memento Pistols were out DPSing my favorite purple sniper, the Black Panther.
I also play with my husband and he noticed the tooltips on several blueprints either are not updating properly, or are just translated wrong as several rifles and snipers dont have their damage increase at all when calibrating.
That said, the game has been nerfed and buffed almost DAILY since I started so all of these values have fluxed wildly based on feedback. A few weeks ago there was someone on the Chinese servers that had a build that did 800k damage and one shot the Forsaken Giant.
Everything int he game is being tweaked and re-balanced. Its a little hard to keep up.
What in the world does this have to do with a Green Pistol hitting harder than a Blue Sniper Rifle that has a higher Calibration level... Especially when the BLUE Sniper Rifle says in the TOOL TIP that it hits harder per shot than the pistol and is buffed with a damage modifier...
Make it make sense paw
yea the game goes weird when you hit max level, all mobs become way stronger and some weapons perform better,
example: at lv49 i could kill an elite with one half of a magazine of my AK, the second i hit lv50 the same elite needed 1 + 1/2 magazine to kill ?? and it was the same AK, nothing changed.
They Value the amount of bullets from the gun, not the damage.
I do a LOT more DPS with the -25% fire rate, dble crit rate D.500 calibration yet I cant take down the hound. I swap for Rapid shot, and down my dps went, but now I could break the hounds defenses.
Why do "more bullets = better damage", when on paper the numbers are opposite.
25k per hit with my Panther SN (around 56kdps. with rapid reload.)
but yet my 5k per hit dps Jaws does more damage.
Math isnt mathing. devs like pew pew pew, not BOOM.... BOOM......
DPS on dummy doesn't work on boss. Someone said dummy is considered protocell and normal enemy so particular bonus to those types will do well. Bosses/Great Ones are different.
Also dps on dummy is easy because you are shooting WS, which SR excels at. In real combat it's harder to hit WS especially the Shadowhound which moves around a lot. The easiest weapon I found for Shadowhound is the Last Valour as it's just super easy to hit the hound weakspot with Shrapnel, particularly when the Hound get the glowing red spots. I already did Shadowhound Pro with WS MG4 Predator and Unstable Bomber Little Jaw SMG along with the Last Valour, and Last Valour is consistently easier to fight with.
On Treant Pro and Forsaken Giant the MG4 is simply much better, because those bosses have slow moving or static giant weakspots.
