Use the teleport doors to keep your distance. When he goes into a floating rotating ball shoot him quickly to deplete his shield or you will insta wipe and have to use an adrenaline shot to revive. After you have removed that shield he will be stunned for a bit so use that time to cause as much dmg as possible.
You don't need to be a "seasoned player with full BP weapons at +10 with perfect calibrations and build". What are you talking about? To solo the normal mode you just need to understand there's a wipe mechanic and do enough damage to break boss shield and know how to avoid getting hit.
You don't have to have the most deck out gears and weapons to do this, just follow the mechanics for the dog and you'll beat him up solo with no problem.
You can also eat and drink food and drink buffs to help with your survival. Don't forget to use up all the potions, especially the armor one for better survival.
Dodge and make sure you have your quick activators on hand. If you need a breather, send out your deviants that would act as a decoy.
Good luck ^_^
