Is there a way to store crude oil from the pump into a storage automatically, without me collecting it manually?

Nope. It isn't a liquid the pipes can move, so there's no automatic way of doing it.

Not sure when they plan on setting it up for the pipes to become a general kind of liquid mover, since there was something posted about it a while back.

This will at least mean acid could be pumped into barrels, tho not sure if they plan on doing something like that for oil as well?

Would make things simple if we could have pipes go into our refiners as well for oil so we can just have them running 24/7.

Not yet. Devs have previously stated the way the piping system is implemented is being worked on and will be fixed in a future update. It's the same issue with "impure acid" currently. They need to copy the way Rust does plumbing imo.
