Can you get polluted water in week 1?

I've got nothing left to do for the next two days playing on PvE. Phase 2's blocking everything I want to do, so I'm trying to set myself up as well as possible. Is there any way to get polluted water in week one? Where can I go?

yes, just go to polluted zone and use water pump or rain catcher

there are polluted zones in phase 1, and also pump. so yes you can. but you cant do anything with it, because barrels are phase 2

My base is north of the pollution zone in Brookham. There you can collect polluted water right from the beginning.

Drive around till your backpack starts showing numbers..now find the local water...either press G in the water or slap your base down there.
If you have the memetics you can build water pumps and store in containers.

Yes, and it's since the bugs with the pump, better go on land over putting it on water. You'll collect more dirty water than polluted.
