Got To Lvl 50 Too Easily
The birds challenges make the game so easy you might as well not do story or side quest.

less than 2 hours. the company guarantee everyone can reach 50 level. Level do not make character more powerful, level 50 can still beat by level 3 zombie in this game. Only gear matter, level unlock the gear tier can be used. TBH, level 40 is enough for the game playing.

How long take you reach lvl 50 ?

i have a unused character at level 5, before the game wipe (10 days left), I want to keep her name and login to push it over level 20. I used under 2 hours to reach 50 level for doing all weekly tasks, and used another hour for grab starchorn. I got 2.6k starchorn at the end. I think I can earn more but need too much effort, beside my gear (T1) is too thin for walking around.

I was like "birds challenge?!" then realised you meant Commissions xD

Anyway it should be this fast with 6 week resets. Leveling is just something to get out of the way ASAP

I guess we are talking the same mission. I am using Chinese interface. too bother to switch language for clarifying the terminology. But, I found that is 1000 times easy for searching information with English. However, I still need to stick to Chinese interface because everything using Chinese in the channels.

Getting higher level just makes the easy content even more trivial. The only challenge I had was when I was in my 30s and went up to the level 60 mobs.

I think once they lock the server to no new character creation, all mobs levels should be boosted to 50-70.

For better or worse, this is intentional and has everything to do with the wipes/reset.

The amount of XP the game rewards you with for just its weekly five commissions (e.g. mine X amount of ore, cook X number of meals, loot X number of armor/weapon chests, drive X kilometers, craft X number of ingots) is enough experience that if you do that each week you will have earned enough experience to reach the max level by the season's end. That is not a coincidence.

The whole goal of the design is to push you through that six week window as effortlessly as possible so you're ready to do it all over again for the next season, with the hopes you'll spend money in the cash shop along the way.

Doing challenges and quest 30 hrs but i have a lot of hours just building my house or chillen. If I were to do the challenges as they unlock each week and just wait a week each i would assume you could get to lvl 50 in less than 5 hours just doing weekly challenges and logging out when you have to wait for the new ones weekly.

Level 0-50 is just the tutorial. Real game starts at Pro mode (Phase 4-6). On hard server they increase mobs DMG and health as well as tightening some mechanic, for example you now has fewer time to stay under Arachsiam to avoid poison mist compared to Novice server, but generally things stay the same.

Super Anomaly and Gas Blob turns out to be true boss. LEA is nothing compared to some Super Anomaly in Pro mode Silo lol. Some Coherence are absolutely freak (Coherence Ede), while other Coherence/Phase are absolutely doormat tier you literally walk over (Coherence Bruiser or Phase Ghouls).

much like rust, you are intended to blitz to max level in a matter of seconds, no different than league of legends, or even getting to a meta strat in starcraft. You are not supposed to care about your level outside of the current match(season). Your character level is not your long term goal in this game, blueprints are your long term goal here.

I think it's less money grubbing than you think and it was more designed to be a catch up mechanic for people who joined a server "late" Of course with the new "no new people at the start of phase 3" thing they might have to redesign the way commissions work. Or at the bare minimum lower the EXP curve they offer just a smidge.

That said level doesn't really account for much in this game, gear and player skill does.
