Why rated T?

My twelve-year-old wants to play this game, and I've told him anything rated T or higher he needs parental approval. Just wondering what kind of content this game has that earns a rating of T.

Is there human-on-human violence? Is there a lot of blood/gore? Is there horrific imagery? Is there drug/alcohol use/abuse?

We'll likely play it together; I just can't install it today and thought I'd ask around for a bit more info until I can play it myself.

Use of alcohol is a thing yes.

Also you use guns to shoot each other.

Does the horror survival game have human on human violence, blood, and horror elements? Ah... yeah. Yeah it does.

It's a bit scary for sure for a 12 year old, the monster designs are pretty scary for a kid(I'm desensitized so ya..). Since this is a Chinese made game, don't worry about the on scene gore and blood. There's none of that shown in the game but it is implied.

The issue that your kid would bump into is the World Chat and dealing with other players who are teenagers and above. And I assure you World Chat can get Rated R+ when a rando idjit starts posting. I would never actually let a 12 year old play a MMO, especially a MMO which has adults playing. Yanno coz predators.

Also rando people would sometimes make their char wear nothing but their undies.. So ya.. Another red flag to add.

+1 to anyone mentioning chat to em, yeah i mean if you were ever in a call of duty lobby back then its like the watered down version of that. Its still good fun. Also the horror aspect goes out the window when im shooting ballons off a demon plane but you kno it is wut it is

And if they ever ask to play Roblox, that is a definite no. I am a 49 and a father of 6. Any MMORPGs need to be monitored. Especially if it is a teen only game. Predators will do anything to get their fix.

Well what does your child like to play? Genre wise. It doesn't need to be online mmo style. Frankly that's too dangerous now a days. Even I don't like my 12 year niece and nephews play mmos.

Woo wee... I just log into the game and a good amount of times I see some rando idjit literally saying Rated sexual stuff that bypasses filters. And I assure you the devs don't moderate the chat. They really don't in NetEase games. People have to actually report it.

Yeah it's funny my parents were way more paranoid when I was dialing into a BBS over a phone line than parents are now. If you let a kid get on roblox unattended they're gonna learn some ♥♥♥♥ and meet some people

heh the pre-days of the dark web.. =) you could find the most interesting things buried in the files section of a random bbs.. Course it took like 3 days to download anything at 300 baud.. but hay.. just make sure you tell them not to ' pick up the phone ' =P

The report system is very good when it comes to chat related proof. I reported an RMTer and they were gone within minutes of the report and got an email response that stated they resolved the issue. It's when players exploit the game or code is where you see the report staff taking their time.

NA region here. My ping is always less than 30.

Overall the 2 servers I was on was good and had decorum. Very community driven. We did have bad actors but because were are community driven, we make sure the chats are always civil. Reports are always made by more than one person.

I have heard that PvP chat is very toxic and the player base is as well. So no go for me. And I cannot speak for other NA PvE servers either. I just know the ones I have been on. Presently in NA x0004 and it is very pleasant

Oh man....my friend's parents were inattentive and so he got to do pretty much whatever he wanted. He would frequent those. I didn't really get what it was for but it blew my mind that his computer could talk to other computers over a phone s line.
I think they were called news bulletin or something? Regardless he was able to DL nude pics.

PvE is a bit cleaner for sure, still some randos here and there. But certainly 100% PvP servers are toxic in the WC. Especially for SEA region. If you ever seen videos of computer shops in a SEA region, late at night with people playing mmos or pvp orientated games. It IS LOUD. And very violent. My friend owns one and it gets pretty crazy when someone doing pvp...

Well more of a reason a 12 year old can't play this kind of game. They should just stick to a single player game with no Live service attached.
