What exactly bothers you about the public servers?
Nobody can harm you on a PVE server and nobody can destroy your base.
So what's so disturbing? That you see another player every now and then?
Yikes, just don't go to the door in real life! You might meet other people there!

this is meant to be a open world MMO style.. that would defeat the ideal of their game the way they want it to be played.. Also i don't see them doing this because its simple they won't be able to control what the people do in a manner of loot/level and other things they themselves like to control. So i don't really see this being a thing for this game. -but i do understand the horror of full severs and no one else being able to join-

If that were the case, then the question is fundamentally wrong.
Then it should be "can I have a server just for me and my friends".
However, I have to admit that me and 3 other friends were just so smart and arranged to meet on the day the server opened, even if it was just to set up a temporary mini camp (time required 15 minutes). Good organization is everything.

Ah you seem a bit triggered.. He didn't say there was anything wrong with ' public servers '.. an what happens there has noting to DO with his question. Some people want to play casually.. I will assume he means a sever where you will have control over the seasons.. So when you want to.. you an a couple of buddies can fire up the game an enjoy the experience together.. When you have a group of friends, its hard to sync everything up on a craptastic public server, that has a LIMITED time span of activity..

This game is sinking fast, anything to pull in new MONEY would be a good idea.. Let people pay for their own servers.. Do the fallout76 bait an switch where you cant transfer to a public server.. The developers make money, the player is happy.. an the pubs cant cry about them switching over.. an breaking ' balance '..

Honestly, just find a low pop server and make a character with friends. You will rarely come across anyone else. However, there are server-wide goals with large starchrom rewards for which you may want a fuller server. Each server has multiple instances or 'worlds' that you can change to at any teleport tower.

I play on a populated server and I've been soloing and only rarely come across other players. For all intents and purposes it feels like a private server most of the time.

No. This is a live service gacha game. They don't offer hosting your server for those.

I am constantly tripping over people in very new low servers.
Changed servers completely twice so far, still the same thing, way too many people in my face.

False

They have mentioned that it will be discussed and can possibly happen. When or if they will, dunno. But it was discussed with the devs.

Agreed, second server here and always visual traffic in game. Not just chat.

I got lucky and got 2 servers that were community driven

imagine crying for a private server and then later crying you can't muster ehnuff friends to kill a primewar boss.

Any PW can be done with 10-15 players of decent build. The exception is NM PW.

To answer the original poster's question, there is no hosting private server option currently. Prior to launch they said they are interested in making the option available, but following launch they amended the statement to say there are many things they're interested in doing and the ability to host a private server has been pushed very far down a very long wishlist.

I would not count on it happening, personally.

i would like a private option. want to play with my kid but having server resets is a game breaker. we dont get to play games together often and coming back to our bases being wiped just ruins games for us

I just found out about server resets and that changes my opinion of this game.

A private server would be perfect so that my friends and I can enjoy what we do without starting over with a reset.
