help with electricity priority when using eels
how does the game decide what to disconnect when there is a power gap? i would like extra pumps to work when i have extra power, but right now my super refineries go offline first. so is there a method to control this ?

I think it disables the facility that uses the most power first or something. I only got low-power one time and one of my pumps stopped working. After that, I'm trying to keep the power within the range of normal power (without the eel). But I did see someone who use a lot of eel just to keep power flowing all the time.

As a side note, you can use the switchable pylon to control which facility you'll switch off if you are low on power. However, I think it is all manual and there are no automatic switches yet.

thank you for the feedback, btw i have 12 eels they all use up their power at the same time even though i attempted to stagger by using mood to refill power. a system is needed to control what goes out first otherwise eels arent very good

so using 12 eels will use all of them instead of taking shifts....maybe it's because of this update? because my eels don't even go on the generators to create extra power.....

can multiple eels stack on a single generator? So if I have 6 generators and 12 eels, each generators can be buffed by 2 eels at the same time? And what is the difference between switchable and normal pylon?

I believe it's based on number of connections in a chain. If I have 6 refineries linked up in sequence, it will disable the last one when power goes low, for example.

Use switch pylons to turn things off and on. You don't need power to multiple forges and kitchen sets, etc at all times. i group them depending on what I'm doing. Right now I have oil pumps running. The forge room, kitchen sets, and other stuff is off to give me the power to do that. When I want to use the resonance filter, I turn off everything but my defenses.

The only things that have constant power are the refrigerators.
