I can somewhat understand ppl who's buying them.
I want MY char to look "special" and so on.
(tbh,I want my char to look like Harley Quinn but I won't buy skins)
"But where the hell are the "pay to earn" cosmetics?"
What is that?
My bad, I ment "play to earn".
I.E. free to play earnable cosmetics.
You know those points you get for doing the phase journey challenges?
You can use them to buy a seasonal journey crate (it's got a few ugly cosmetics in it), every duplicate you get gives you tokens instead.
They're like 50 points a pop.
these are tokens you can use to buy cosmetic pieces, or at least, that's the idea.
But that shop has like.. 6 pieces, and has had 6 pieces since day 1.
sadly, they look like something you'd find dumpster-diving behind a thrift-shop.
Yeah, I know. It's very disappointing and I'm saving mine, hope for a better day coming ;)
Well, I bought those kinky gloves thou
Yes! I want to support the game and contribute financially but so far I've seen NOTHING in the shop that even remotely resembles something I would consider using and paying for. I will also NEVER buy an RNG loot box. I suspect there are many people in the same situation. I love the post apocalyptic/H.P Lovecraft vibe of this game world but it seems to have a bit of an identity crisis when it comes to cosmetic skins.
Yep, I'm not touching the lootboxes no matter what they put in there.
A lot of the design decisions are questionable, like, why even give players "cosmetic tokens" where the description literally says "used to buy rare cosmetics in the shop".
And then completely ignore that section of the shop?
They obviously have time to pump out pink skins and dances, so what's the holdup?
I get the impression there's a lot of ideas put into the game, and then they completely botch the follow-up.
I'm enjoying the game, figured I'd drop some money to support it. Looked at the shop. There's a bunch of more ragged hoodies, no reason to buy any of that, I can already look like that with the normal gear in game. There's some creepy anime fetish costumes, hard pass. And there's extremely hideous stuff. Huh.
