WTF is up with Saffron?

I planted some saffron 3 days ago and still on 5% germination. Also planted some morels which grew as normal. A mate of mine has also had the same problem with saffron and another plant tho I cant remember which one.

Flowers are very slow. I put angled roof sections over them and that helped. They did eventually finish growing in a couple days. Wheat was only a little slower than normal.

Its not that its slow, its that they got to 5% in the first hour then stopped at that and have remained at that for 3 days now :)

If your light/water is in the red on either of them, that plant will not grow. You have to keep it in the yellow or green.

Did you check the conditions? Each plant group has its own parameters to keep them in for water and light. if indoors make sure grow lights are set to correct lighting level for said plant as well as water. Not exactly on the lines but in the green on both bars. That has mostly everything i have planted growing no problems

The constant rain pretty much ensures that plants will never be below 100 irrigation unless covered, which means that you need grow lights. This change to how weather works has effectively made phase 1 growing a major pain in the ass.

I actually had this happen with scarlet calamus. I made a specific room to grow them in proper conditions but it took over 3 days to grow. I thought they were ready one day and it still said 72% growth period (not germination), and the next day it said 4% growth period.

Also, I had these planted in a regular planter box and a box with the memetic spec [Planter Box: Greenhouse Planting]. Both types seemed to 'roll over' the growth period.

With regard to sunlight and water, both are ok. I manually irrigate but the lowest they have ever been is 88% and the pots are on the roof where they get plenty of natural light. The odd thing is that the germination figure has stuck at 5% and not moved either up or down.

Just as an update on the 4th or 5th day (lost count) the germination went to 7% and stopped there. Other plants are still growing normally.

Same thing for me. The scarlet calamus does the same. I am giving up on this stage. Never had problems with my plants before. Now it take days to grow and the game speeding ahead. Sad, sad.
