Icebreaker Waterpump: What does it do?

Don´t tell me it just fetches dirty water :-D ... I can get my regular water pump to do that everywhere. It´s a memetic I can unlock and due to bad luck I keep getting useless ones, so I saw this improved water pump memetic and was curious. Tried googling and not one mention.

the same problem. I tried to put it on ice floes in the north. But the game does not allow to do this, it says that you can not create here

I used my reset item to roll off the Icebreaker Waterpump.

But the description did say to place it on ice OR water body.
So try putting it in a river or something.

PS. It doesn't need electricity / power. Only Storage battery.

i placed it on water, it gives nothing. it just resets after a while

Well, I finally found an ice floe to put a pump. And it produces... nothing

Yeah, I have tried everything with it including placing it on dirt in a polluted zone, it does nothing. Battery just keep resetting the timer.

The thing is that it requires a battery and states the output is 60, that´s darn expensive for water when you can just go and get it yourself in a matter of a minute. If there is one thing this game doesn´t have a shortage of is water and probably the easiest resource to get.

in the map the way of winter but the pump in the water and deposit a battery, it will give you a cold crystal ore

would be nice if it worked in lava and produce hot crystal ore
