WTF in game TEMPERATURE!!!!
I am about ready to quit this game. I have liked it up until this latest patch. Now you have to dissemble armor to get mats for repairing current armor. LAME! And now you have to fight against the temperatures in the game. Thats more like your trying to annoy your player base. I am suffering heat stroke in the game for being 1 degree over the limit. Giving me 75% sanity and 25% HP Who ever thought this mechanic in the game was a good thought is a not a smart person. This was not apart of the game and makes the game more annoying to play. Its bad enough to have to feed and give your character a drink and cook the food. If this is not fixed/ majorly nerfed i will be quitting the game. Trying to regulate your temperature is to much of a time suck too.

There are 3 stones that can help you manage your temp when not at home. There is one for cold one for heat and one you make from gravel to convert to the other two.

Look for blue stones for the cold protection material and red stone for heat. You will need a cryo nade or Molotov to destroy them respectively.

Yeah, except the heat stone seems to be doing f**k all for me anymore - as in doesn't seem to make me any warmer than I am without - and that you'll need an advanced pickaxe (read: stone and copper won't do anything, need at least bronze, maybe even steel) to farm those cold stones.

I got gear crafted with furs, I got "heat" food, I got one of those heat stones in my inventory, got a campfire AND a stove (the heating one) in my base and right now, the only way to survive nights without freezing to death is to just put my char in bed (the fur bed) and leave her there. Something ain't right there.
For me once hypothermia/hp loss occurred I am toast, but with the heat food, torch, heatium and 2 armors with bear pelts on them, if I catch the hypothermia before HP loss, I seem to have no issues.
I'm shocked so many people are having so many issues. From the start of the scenario despite not bringing any kind of pick with me I had no trouble. I used the deagle they provided me to take down some deer and made the base winter armor, picked some spike tomatos and ate those and used the torch as my melee until I hit Tier 2 armor, Aside from being mildly annoying from time to time I've had zero issues dealing with the temperature mechanic.
I found it pretty fun since now it's not just maintaining base needs like food, hydration, and sanity most of which 20 minutes into a season are more than taken care of.
I find that the temperature mechanic works like diving.

Temperature 0 degree celsius and above is like swimming above water (i.e. can breathe).

-5 degree celsius and below (especially from -10 degree celsius and lower) is like being underwater.

We run out of "air" eventually if we don't watch the meter.

Hypothemia is like having no air. So, once in Hypothermia (losing HP status), getting to a 0 degrees celsius location needs to be done fast.

Only issue I have is it is very hard to tell what temperature any location is. They should have a heat map mode to let us see where to go. Also, indoor locations (especially enclosed ones like enemy bases) should be at least 0 degree celsius.

That said, once I got the heatium and chaosium lantern, it's not that bad anymore. I just don't have a steady supply of chaosium.

A heat map layer on the main map would be EXTREMELY useful.

Read what I wrote above
- got armor crafted with furs (reindeer - first thing I did)
- got heatium stone in my inventory
- got heat food (the roasted spikematos) + ate it
- sitting in my base
- got campfire going on ground floor
- got the heating stove going on first floor

Only way I'm BARELY in the "I'm not freezing" temperature range at night is if I either stand right next to the campfire/stove (move away a couple of steps, e.g. over to the furnace or my workbenches to craft something and bam - freezing again) or if I'm lying in my (fur) bed. So either I'm doing something wrong or something's broken. Or maybe I should just run around constantly clutching my torch, rendering me unable to use any other weapon ... *sarcasm*

You might wanna consider moving your base to somewhere warmer.

Also, craft a chaosium lantern.

1) I'm south of Camp Igloo, so not exactly the warmest spot but not high up in the mountains, either. There isn't even any snow on the ground where I got my base.

2) Would love to but that requires me leveling up enough so that I can get the memetics necessary to unlock the intermediate supply bench, then farm the materials in higher level (and thus, mostly colder) areas to build the intermediate supply bench, oh and I'll also need a pickaxe good enough to be able to farm that cold ore I need to make chaosium so I can actually fuel that lantern. Oh, and let's not forget the molotov cocktails I'll need to throw at the cold ore at first so that it doesn't friggin' KILL me when I'm trying to farm it.

Point in case: It takes a certain amount of farming and quite some leveling up to be able to build that lantern in the first place - how am I supposed to do that without freezing to death in the meantime? Like, multiple time?

I mean, sure, I got quite some mats in storage in Eternaland but I'd honestly rather spend my transfer currency on other stuff ...
loged in, checked my base 5mn, get out for a mission, dead after 3 minutes exactly,
logged off

Well see yeah, I did read what you wrote. Which is the source of my confusion.
Unless somehow me being level 1 and you being level 1 was somehow massively different I don't get how you did everything you needed to do but couldn't get to the same point I did. From start to where I am now I have yet to die from the cold despite having unlocked most of the teleport icons on the map so far. I even took a few pot shots at the chaos weaver outside of the rosetta base on the mountain.

Gone to both cold regions that are unlocked and with just common sense I haven't had an issue with it except having an extra bit of difficulty keeping the temperature in mind. Not once in my time did I go outside and immediately start dying of hypothermia.

Not sure where your disconnect with that concept is. Maybe it's time blindness thinking you are only away from base for a few minutes when it's much longer or I just got the magical server where the -15 to -20 isn't the -15 to -20 you are dealing with.

I knew it. That's why I started another manibus run. They have messed up the already mechanics in game ( sanity ) that is heavily to strong. Mostly only good with beer, so I knew that their temperature mechanics will be bad aswell so I better kept waiting.

Even armor repairing is very expensive now.
