What weapons are required to take out the Forsaken Giant?
I tried to fight the Forsaken Giant and it did not go well.
I have the Hamr sniper rifle with burn, level 5 with calibration 10
I also have the SOCR Outsider Automatic Rifle with shock, level 5 with calibration 10
My armor is level 5 with full calibration
I died 8 times and finally completely ran out of ammo and health activators.
The best I could do was to get him down to about 1/2 health.
And got tired of having to start over again and again and again.
Not sure if I am just too slow, or you need some special weapon to accomplish this....

Meant to be done in a team but enhancing your blueprints can help too.

Also making sure to optimize gear mods is important.

So the thing is elemental damage is just no good against the gaint. so burn hes immune to just like shock. So try using something that relies less on elemental. For example I have to use a bingo sniper rifle with 2x weakspot and that does pretty good damage i can 2 tap his damage phases when he displays his weakspot. Long story short try weakspot build if you can gear towards that for the fight

Forsaken Giant is unfortunately immune to status damage for unknown reasons. As such it does not take damage from power surge or burn.

I am unsure what your build is but you will have a much easier time killing this boss if you use a weapon with Fast Gunner, Bullseye or Shrapnal.

You may also wish to see out other people to help you deal with this fight. It's a pretty unforgiving fight solo.

I recommend against spending SC to boost the star rank of things in most cases. Enhancing BPs only provides a very small damage boost compared to using it to unlock legendary Key or Set armor.

You also have to watch out for his mechanics and attacks. I found this boss to be tricky compared to others

Agreed I have tried the matchmaking and never get a match... I am guessing it is because of low server population.

The auto-matchmaking is kind of misleading. From my own experiences, it doesn't properly populate the team's goal, and publishes a blank team recruitment. It likely only auto-matches those that are at the location (on any world), using the feature. In this use case, it accomplishes the bare minimum. You are better off filling out the team recruitment form completely, and then using auto-matching after it's setup.

Use the auto-recruit function on the Team tab, you can edit the recruitment info by clicking the icon next to it. You can also use world chat and look for teammates there instead.

Unfortunately power surge does not work on this boss as in silo ex1. Giant is not about dps but about mechanics so you can avoid taking damage there at all. Just watch the walkthrough on YouTube, especially since it now has easy difficulty with fewer mechanics.

The boss has damage gating. As long as you're doing some kind of acceptable endgame damage you will hit these damage gates. The elites that spawn from the portals are probably more of a concern. The sniper rifle probably isn't doing you many favors however. Instead I would suggest a shrapnel rifle with mobility attachments. Shrapnel procs will hit his weakspots so aiming is less of a concern, and mobility will help you avoiding attacks. 8000 tungsten ammo should be more than enough.

The biggest key is being able to avoid his slam and sweep attacks. Spring Legs and Stardust Energy will give you a jump high enough to clear his arm, if running isn't an option. The inner radius of the arena is also shorter distance than the outer one, so you should always run towards the middle if you plan to run, or jump over his wrist. Damage mitigation mods are also suggested, the one that gives 20 resistance and 20 more if below 30% health works well and will stack with other damage resistance effects or cradle override.

What? it is not an either or situation and the percentage increase may only be a few percent but it adds up to a very significant amount if done multiple times. Sure unlock your armor but you will have plenty of starcrom to enhance your weapon at least one maybe twice even after getting your armor. Also if you collect bluepritns from the map you may enhance without spending any starcom.

Hand sweep can be avoided by running close to him on the opposite side where his hand is sweeping. This is much faster than running toward the edge of the field opposite of the sweeping hand.
The grab can be avoided by sticking to his belly.
The smash attack can be avoided by Spring Leg or Double Jump.
Once you know these you shouldn't get hit by any of his attack, then the only thing that hit you is the spawn Elite and normal mobs.

The Forsaken Giant isnt a boss where DPS barely matter at all.
For 95% of the time he takes only 1% dmg, and you just need to dodge, wait, dodge, until the next small damage window start.
Don't bother wasting starchrom for BP or enhance your gear. Instead watch some video and learn the fight.

Again what in the heck are you on about? It is not a waste to increase damage. Waste starcrom? What else are you doing with it? Hoarding it to swim in it like scrooge mcduck?

Sure I agree about the dodging and learning mechanics of the fight I get that. However calling enhancing blueprints a waste is a weird take.

You could go on agaisnt the Forsaken Giant with the best build in game and will still take ages. Is a fight split in many "small phases" where you can do barely any damage at all at the boss.
There is a reason why you barely see anyone farming it, because isn't farmable fast.

Go on, spend your starchrom to make your BP 2 or 3 or even 4 stars, enhance your mods, then go an fail again because you don't understand one of the mechanics of the boss. XD

Forsaken Giant isnt a DPS fight. You'll get a much bigger help from learning the fight, than you do by increasing your dps.
