Also making sure to optimize gear mods is important.
I am unsure what your build is but you will have a much easier time killing this boss if you use a weapon with Fast Gunner, Bullseye or Shrapnal.
You may also wish to see out other people to help you deal with this fight. It's a pretty unforgiving fight solo.
I recommend against spending SC to boost the star rank of things in most cases. Enhancing BPs only provides a very small damage boost compared to using it to unlock legendary Key or Set armor.
The biggest key is being able to avoid his slam and sweep attacks. Spring Legs and Stardust Energy will give you a jump high enough to clear his arm, if running isn't an option. The inner radius of the arena is also shorter distance than the outer one, so you should always run towards the middle if you plan to run, or jump over his wrist. Damage mitigation mods are also suggested, the one that gives 20 resistance and 20 more if below 30% health works well and will stack with other damage resistance effects or cradle override.
What? it is not an either or situation and the percentage increase may only be a few percent but it adds up to a very significant amount if done multiple times. Sure unlock your armor but you will have plenty of starcrom to enhance your weapon at least one maybe twice even after getting your armor. Also if you collect bluepritns from the map you may enhance without spending any starcom.
The grab can be avoided by sticking to his belly.
The smash attack can be avoided by Spring Leg or Double Jump.
Once you know these you shouldn't get hit by any of his attack, then the only thing that hit you is the spawn Elite and normal mobs.
For 95% of the time he takes only 1% dmg, and you just need to dodge, wait, dodge, until the next small damage window start.
Don't bother wasting starchrom for BP or enhance your gear. Instead watch some video and learn the fight.
Sure I agree about the dodging and learning mechanics of the fight I get that. However calling enhancing blueprints a waste is a weird take.
You could go on agaisnt the Forsaken Giant with the best build in game and will still take ages. Is a fight split in many "small phases" where you can do barely any damage at all at the boss.
There is a reason why you barely see anyone farming it, because isn't farmable fast.
Go on, spend your starchrom to make your BP 2 or 3 or even 4 stars, enhance your mods, then go an fail again because you don't understand one of the mechanics of the boss. XD
Forsaken Giant isnt a DPS fight. You'll get a much bigger help from learning the fight, than you do by increasing your dps.
