Anti-Phase Cradle override: Sniper Rifles, SMGs, Crossbows gets +15% damage, +100% more when used against Phase enemies.
--------------------------------------
1) It's not restricted to Snipers only.
2) Pack something that's anti-Phase.
3) Don't hold the trigger down / switch targets often.
4) Silo Psi Boss (Get Toughened modifier), Old Huntsman Boots ignores this. It was helpful before this modifier, it is helpful with this modifier.
5) Way of Winter should not be anyone's first scenario (Devs really shouldn't have let first timer sign up for WoW)
6) That's why Pro dungeon states Recommended Players 4.
7) Be strong enough to solo everything, or be humble enough to learn to play in a team, share responsibilities, and roles.
Even LEA can be solo'd. There are people out there who've beaten Elden Ring boss without looking at the screen, and played on a controller using their feet.
It's fine if you're not up for the challenge. Not everything that's there is meant for you.
Theres a good bit of assumption in your comment, so before i answer ill correct some things:
Iv got over 600 hours already, Way of Winter is my 3rd scenario (excluding Prismverse that was.... not fun)
I can and have soloed everything on hard servers, including LEA and Zone of Haze. LEA was such a miserable slog but i got it done. Zone of Haze, far easier
I do use anti-phase, i always have the anomoly overrides on my cradle, since they also boost the damage of the weapons i love to use most
--------
I just think the modifier itself serves next to no purpose but to harshly punish anyone using sustained damage weapons, or people without oneshot capabilities. Unless your first shot kills your target, youre now dealing 40% less damage. And while my Doombringer can do that to most normal mobs, this becomes a real issue against super anomolies. Im not a fan of anomolies, i like that they gave enemies new and interesting bonuses, they feel like elites from Risk of Rain. My problem is iv never encountered an anomoly that wasnt an absolute bullet sponge. It shouldnt take more than a few minutes to kill a phase enemy using my shotgun, but it does. Even with the override, it takes FOREVER to disable their phase. And this is particularily bad for the (optional) phase heavy rosetta towards the end, as not only can he heal himself and drop a dome shield, but i am unable to kill him before his phase comes back, often resulting in an even worse slogfest
I just think the modifier is poorly thought out. I have zero issues with any other modifier, most of them actually make the run more fun and interesting for me. This is the only modifier that seems to serve no purpose but to brutally slow you down. It almost doubles how long it can take me to solo pro psi. Sure Doombringer can put down the trash mobs, and sure the elites arent that bad, it is pro so thats to be expected. But its a huge issue with enemies that already have tons of hp, and completely unfair when considering bosses. Now, im not entirely sure if it does actually apply to bosses or not, but im pretty sure point blank doombringer shouldnt be hitting only 1-2k per pellet on crits to the fridge
This is the only modifier in the game that i think is unfair
Even though I don't have much trouble with it myself bc I have more than one builds. A few modifiers do discourage me to not farm specific silo for a week and pray that a different one appears when it reset if the mod I need is in that silo/rift bc it's just a pain to deal with.
