Simple ways to keep yourself warm in the Way of Winter scenario

I see quite a lot of players are still confused on how to keep warm in the winter map so here is a quick guide:

1. pressing T to make a campsite and then staying near it will keep you warm.
2. quickly make a torch even a T1 torch will increase your temperature.
3. unlock coldium/heatium from memetic skill tree, this stone when keep in your bag will maintain your optimal temperature.
4. then for chest piece and pants, use the hides that + cold resistance/ + heat resistance depends on what region you are in
5. make the food that + cold/ hot resistance. (pick up the mints, gingers and spikemato you see all over the map to make the food)
6. Later on, further down the memetic skill tree (below heatium) there is a lantern that you can craft, this lantern works better than heatium but will consume chaosium.

Also wear a woolly hat, rub your hands together, and get a snuffly scarf!

too bad that randomly might not work
Like where I had my house it was on average 10 degrees, and sometimes I would login it would randomly be -50 with me standing right next to 2 heaters at max, holding a torch, and having my cold resist gear on and I would literally freeze to death in the house.
One time it did this before I died I managed to teleport to the volcanic area where it was 30, and still froze to death...
ohh if you wonder my chest and pants have the best mats to make them, and are that one set that gives you an additional 5 points for the 2 set bonus.

Yeah this is how it is SUPPOSED to work, unfortunately it doesn't. 5 times int he last 2 hours I have been driving my vehicle only to suddenly die from exposure even while having cold resist on both chest and pants, a cooked food buff, a heatium stone in inventory and a lantern with what little chaosium I have been able to scrounge in the 10 minute windows I have before freezing to death. Oh and this is all in the STARTER area as the server I am on is in phase 1 so it isn't even endgame content.
TL:DR: Entire mechanic for temperature is completely bugged, not to mention the Chaos Weaver monster that can destroy your entire base with you offline. Already have seen all the friends I was playing with drop the game due to these issues and I think I am right there with them.

this temperature system is so broken to the point that im not even enjoying myself any more and my hive mates are about ready to abandon this whole scenario
