Give it about five minutes to just sit there and it will eventually refresh and cycle all your characters back.
Essentially during peak hours, the login servers hard crash and it can take the system many MINUTES to reconnect tot he main server and return all the data.
I've had this happen to me a lot. Most the time it happens around a power outage, a fluctuation in service to the modem (He is using wi fi and i'm using the land line, sometimes the problem is the router, not our individual machines), or when the server itself is overloading in a certian area because there are too many buildings or entities.
The network code is kind of spagetti string, but I can promise you; they dont know how to delete their own data, its highly unlikely they lost your character, the connection to it just got interrupted.
Its probably the wifi throttling your connection. There was a period when I was living with my parents and AT&T refused to run a land line to our out-of-city house. We had to go with Radio Sattilite and the packet loss was so bad I ended up with a 13kms ping in live service games and had to quit them outright until we got a better bit rate.
You might be able to get back into your account if you try during non-peak hours for your service provider. Usually thats between 10 PM and 6 AM for most cities. Its not a great answer, but its probably whats causing you issues. Slow Wi Fi just really sucks for live service.
MAYBE if you can get a wired connection to the router or a wall sokcet you can get something better out of it, but Once Human has been kind of brutal to people with long ping rates. I get kicked if I got over 700ms now.
