I was OFFLINE Raided & Wiped Out on a PVE "Easy" Server

I lost almost everything in a Offline RAID on a PVE Server ("Easy" mode scenario) while living in a NEWB zone with Deer and Copper nodes.

I know that this community is know for being harsh and callous to "Carebears" and there quizzing about PVP Loss. I get it.

I have played PVP games and been wiped out by other players while offline and that is a truly terrible feeling of loss but you expect that it can and likely will happen. BUT not in a PVE server in a NEWB Zone.

I logged out Friday in my house located in a peaceful river valley with deer and copper nodes not far from the starting city location. ( a total Newb area)

I logged in last night and found that my base was completely destroyed all that remained was 4 foundations and my Vault.

Apparently a world boss (Chaosweaver) spawned in the area and wiped it clean of all whom dared to build in this newb valley.

I brought over a fair amount of resources to get my base going and gear up from last season. I also spent over 20 hours (felt like closer to 40) this season gathering resources and getting my base established. That was all wiped out in this Offline RAID.

I thought that the Vault was supposed to store your resources and items when a chest was destroyed. That is what we are lead to believe. (no over flow, and prioritized the worst items imaginable to store in the total loss)

With the total loss of everything in base, what did I find in my vault? Not my precious resources i spent hours stockpiling , not the materials to rebuilt my benches and infrastructure that were wiped out in this offline RAID.

No the game felt it necessary to fill my vault with the fish I had in 4 aquariums for decoration from a single 30 minute fishing trip and some useless boiled water stacks.

Almost everything else is completely lost and I have to start over with nothing but these damn fish and boiled water that filled over 85% of my vault after this total loss.

I don't feel that I have ever been so violated and screwed by a game in my life. This crap system with the Vault behavior in a total loss event is terrible and the WIPE by a system event in a NEWB zone on a PVE server is simply BS.

Still holding out hope for needed improvements. Really do love this game, but this PVE wipe issue needs to be resolved.

It's complete and utter GARBAGE!! This shouldn't exist. Exactly the same thing happened to me today and I was LIVID. Vault full of fish from my aquariums and boiled/pure water/dirty water. I could cope with the loss of base but the fact I lost pretty much anything of "value" in terms of being able to relocate and rebuild has really rubbed me up the wrong way. I'm going to stay for the passive Starchrom phase rewards and then taking a LONG break. This game doesn't respect your time AT ALL.

This has happened to me also. Lost alot of work as well as material and several weapon drops that i had been saving. Died repeatadly while trying to leave the area where my base was. Chaos weaver directly overhead. By chance I had saved a campsite far off so eventually lived less all my lvl 5 weapons on me all at 0 durability and no mats to repair.
Going to hold off atm on any and i mean any base building and grinding just not worth it.

Yeah was a major hit after coming back from a 2 day vacation with the family and finding everything gone so yeah sitting the rest of the season out.

No one cares!!! It's a bad season with poor mechanics and nothing to do except being bored. So for me, it will already be my final season; no more pulling for the Halloween loot, it’s just over.

Although I had loads of fun playing and replaying the first zone of this game, the Winter Biome is one slew of buggy and laggy messes. Bosses don't work, mobs clip through walls and floors, the cold or heat delay is horrible I mean, nah too much wrong with it to invest time and money into this game. I had very high hopes for the Winter Biome, but everything is just a mess. keyboard layout rebinding is also still not working etc etc...

to be fair the mobs also clipped through walls in manibus season too so its clearly something they need to fix yet didnt get around to yet...

The weather idea while neat is too drastic its is either freeze or roast, and is buggy to the maximum. I've died of hypothermia where it was friggin 40 degrees as I warped when I was starting to get cold to the volcanic area >.>
Then there is the chaosweaver that's movement is about as fluid as a power point slide show it is so jerky. and takes an insane amount of damage to kill.

WE can consider this a beta version of this map, i hope they will make the same restriced area like the PW for Chaosveawer too, so player don't lose their home. The only suggestion i can give you, find a very remove area of the map or try to join an Hive and hope they build thier termal tower in to a safe zone

will the chaosweaver ever go away :-( i hv my base in lvl5 area..i am lvl 45 with nearly maxed out gear but still near freezing..only play i can do is stand near my heater with torch in hand :-)..taking him out is way beyond my skills :-(

Happened to me too, saw the players doing it too. Lost most of my storage stuff, Pathetic people, i quit

watched like 5 players trying to take him out - wasted like 10k ammo each , activators and shots and the reward was hardky worth the time !!

awesome mechanic, some players were intentionally standing in our bases to get them destroyed/the loot.

Sorry that so many others are dealing with the same pain that I dealt with. I had great hopes for this game. But watching to see if this is fixed before I spend another dime on this.
