So I figured out how to turn on the Thermal Tower, really stupid system btw, I click on the temperature I want and I was wondering if the Tower is off do the buffs work on our bases or they only work if the tower is on?

the buffs work even if you are not adjusting temperature (at least that is how it has worked for us). the chaosium consumption only occurs if you are adjusting the temp as well (any maybe the territory extension if that needs the tower to be on?)

Ok to recap, let's see if I got it...
Because we are farming so much chaosium and seems very pointless at this point since it doesn't even last that long.
Chaosium is only used to research and to adjust temperature, if we want the temperature to a certain level, right?
And when the tower is off (no chaosium) all the perks still work, right?

that is how it is working for my hive. and we are at 100% corruption and the buffs still appear to be active (gear still has the extra 30 points of durability when crafted)

Now what about the perks for the crop, would they still work if the tower doesn't have anymore chaosium and is basically off?
