Problem with resource extraction through pumps /

There is one problem, I built the house in an oil puddle, installed pumps, but instead of oil it pumps water. There is a similar problem with acid production, I was looking for an 80 by 20 zone so that I could also pump water with pumps, however, when I leave the infected zone, the pumps that were installed for acid start pumping regular dirty water. Is there anything I don't know about how pumps work? What do they even need? What the f***ing logic do they have?

There are various issues with territories and offline material collection and processing. When you leave the area, the whole area if empty, is unloaded from memory, it then defaults, if you're in an area that can collect oil, water, pollution etc you'll tend to only get water until you reenter it. Or another player enters the area.

Eels for example are unloaded and generators only output power so long as the amount supplied is below or equal to the defaults. ie if you can output 180 but need 181, none of your machines work. ie instead of having 18 pumps, you have 17 then the 17 will be powered and will collect default amounts. In some cases you can actually have 18 but the risk is the game will find something like a small pump that needs 1w power and it trips everything.

The Logic that governs this hasn't been very well thought out or tested. So we have to work with what we know works and just accept that.

Even if you are in a zone where the territory is not being unloaded, oil is not being extracted in the literal sense. I stand and monitor every 5 minutes how the water was extracted and how it is extracted
